The lunchtime kick-off on Saturday in the Premier League sees Enzo Maresca's Chelsea side travel to Turf Moor, as the Blues could potentially move into second place temporarily before their rivals play their respective fixtures this weekend.
Burnley's form this season places them where many would expect them to be at the start of the campaign. The Clarets are 17th in the Premier League standings, and in stark contrast to their impenetrable defence in the Championship last season, Burnley have the third-worst defence on record this campaign, having conceded 22 goals in 11 matches.
Scott Parker's side were beaten at home by Arsenal before the international break; however, the pressing concern was their defeat to West Ham United, which has now brought the Hammers closer to the Clarets in the league standings. Burnley's recent form is somewhat concerning, with four defeats in their last six league games and having not kept a clean sheet in their previous three games before the break.
As for Chelsea, the visitors hit a good spell of form before international duty. The Blues are unbeaten in their previous four matches in all competitions, with three wins and a draw - two of those victories came in the Premier League against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur. Chelsea had won four of their last five league matches coming into this game, and the Blues are also unbeaten in their previous two league fixtures away from home, picking up a maximum of six points.
Chelsea are the favourites for this fixture. Given how the respective form table has played out for both of these sides, nothing other than a Chelsea win should be on the cards here. This could be a high-scoring fixture, considering Over 2.5 goals have been scored in five of the last seven games involving Chelsea and seven of the last eight matches involving Burnley.
Burnley 1-3 Chelsea
