The Merseyside derby is so often a tight and tense affair, and we are predicting another closely fought 90 minutes this Sunday.
Everton head into the game on the back of three wins, one draw and one defeat from their last five league games, while Liverpool have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five in the Premier League.
The away side has failed to win any of their last eight Merseyside derbies at Goodison Park and Anfield. Six of the last eight times Everton have played host to Liverpool, the game has ended in a stalemate.
Six of the last eight derbies have also produced under 2.5 goals, so we're not expecting any kind of goal-fest this weekend. Three of Everton's and Liverpool's last six outings in the Premier League have also witnessed fewer than three goals.
However, the Toffees and the Reds have both only failed to score in two of their last 14 outings in the Premier League, so you can see why we've selected a scoreline of 1-1 at Hill Dickinson.
Both teams scored in September's reverse league meeting between these two local rivals, and the last encounter between the pair at Goodison Park ended in a score draw.
Everton 1-1 Liverpool
