Nottingham Forest are without a win in their last nine matches across all competitions, since winning on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season at home against Brentford. Saturday's hosts have lost each of their last three matches in league and cup, going down 2-0 away at Newcastle before the international break.
Chelsea have won three of their last four matches in all competitions, beating Liverpool 2-1 at home in their last league game. The visitors have picked up five wins from their last nine matches, scoring at least two goals in four of those victories. However, Chelsea have only managed to keep one clean sheet in their last seven fixtures, and that arrived in the Champions League against Benfica.
The Londoners have won each of their last two trips to The City Ground, and both teams have scored in four of the last six league meetings between these two clubs. Both teams have also scored in four of Forest's last six matches, as well as in six of Chelsea's last seven games.
With all of the above in mind, we're backing Chelsea to claim a narrow 2-1 victory against an out-of-form Nottingham Forest side.
