Liverpool vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Prediction, Tips & Stats

Anfield will open its door once more this Wednesday night as Liverpool play hosts to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League with the Reds looking to make it back into the win column after another tough run of form.

It looked as if the Reds would begin to get back to some solid form after a 2-0 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby, just as the club registered a 2-0 win over Newcastle United to become just the first team to beat them in the Premier League at St James' Park this season.

However, Klopp's side have gone on to lose 5-2 to Real Madrid in the Champions League at Anfield after stunningly taking a 2-0 lead in the first half. They lost that lead just before the first half ended and then went on to concede a further three goals. Liverpool also drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace last time out.

Wolves are up into 15th and now above the relegation zone by three points, although they have still scored just 18 goals this Premier League season - only Everton have scored fewer.

Mohamed Salah 3+ shots on target is boosted to 3/1 in this game after Salah hit the target 3 times in his last league game at home. He is also 14/1 to score 2+ goals - Salah, who has scored twice in his last 2 home games, has scored each of the last 2 times that Wolves have visited Anfield. 2+ shots on target each team in each half is also boosted to 13/2 in this game, while Fabinho, Alexander-Arnold, Lemina and Neves each to make 1+ fouls is up at 7/2 and Matip, Jimenez & Kilman each to make 1+ fouls is at 4/1.

            Liverpool team news

Jurgen Klopp has a few injuries to wdeal with, as Darwin Nunez likely misses this game with a shoulder injury. This likely forces a front three of Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah. Luis Diaz is nearing a return and likely gets into the squad in the next few weeks. Thiago is out until mid-March and Calvin Ramsey will miss th rest of the season. Joe Gomez is out of this one and Ibrahima Konate's injury likely means Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk at the back. Arthur is out for another few weeks.

            Wolves team news

Wolves have few injuries to deal with that forces little change to their side coming into this one. Sasa Kalajdzic is out for the season after a knee injury and Francisco Tavares Oliveira is out until April. Hee-Chan Hwang is nearing a return but won't play in this one. Boubacar Traore is also set to feature again fairly soon, but this game seems too soon for his return. Matheus Cunha is looking like being sidelined for a while very early on in his career at Wolves.
