        Newcastle vs Chelsea Prediction

A massive game takes place between Newcastle United and Chelsea this weekend in the Premier League where the Blues are aiming to build on a rise in form for what would be arguably their best result of the season.

Chelsea have had two commendable results in recent weeks, although both their games against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City come with many questions. Firstly, against Spurs, Chelsea had to see the opposition get down to 10 men in order to win the game 4-1, as Nicolas Jackson scored a hat-trick following the second red card. In fact, the Blues were 1-0 down until Cristian Romero received his marching orders and the club probably would have lost should Spurs had stayed at 11 men.

They did also manage to get a point off Manchester City at Stamford Bridge just before the international break, but by letting in four goals in a 4-4 draw, questions have to be asked of Mauricio Pochettino's defence still, as Thiago Silva and Raheem Sterling scored first half goals before Jackson netted in the second 45. Cole Palmer was the hero of the day in the end with a penalty in the 95th minute to earn his side a point against his former club.

As for Newcastle, their form has also taken a beating in recent weeks with back-to-back Champions League defeats to Borussia Dortmund all but ending their hopes of a spot in the knockout rounds, unless many results go their way. A further loss to Bournemouth also came soon after with the Magpies now winning just six of their 12 matches in the Premier League so far.

Newcastle United to win, BTTS, each team 4+ corners and each team 20+ booking points is at 14/1, while you can get odds of Chelsea to win, BTTS, each team 4+ corners and each team 20+ booking points at 16/1. Newcastle team news

Newcastle have been utterly stunned with injuries and suspensions. Sandro Tonali won't play until next August, while Dan Burn, Jacob Murphy an Sven Botman miss this game at least. Elliot Anderson, Callum Wilson and Harvey Barnes will be back just before Christmas, while Miguel Almiron, Fabian Schar and Alexander Isak are all out of this one. Bruno Guimaraes can return to the lineup after his suspension ended, but Lewis Hall is unable to face his parent club.

        Chelsea team news

Chelsea continue to have injuries throughout the squad, but Christopher Nkunku is nearing a return to the side for what will be his first Premier League outing. Romeo Lavia is also yet to get a run of games for the Blues but can come back next week it seems. Ben Chilwell is out for another month, while Wesley Fofana is once again out for the season. Levi Colwill, Malo Gusto and Trevoh Chalobah face late fitness tests.
