Sunderland take on Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend as they go in search of another three points towards their survival bid.
- Date: 29/11/2025
- Kick-off: 3:00pm
- Location: Stadium of Light, Sunderland
The Black Cats come into this game 7th in the league table with 19 points from 12 games. Their start to the season has been commendable, and given their points total, they'll feel they're halfway to survival (at worst) with only a third of the campaign played.
Their form heading into this game is solid on the whole, with two wins, two draws and one loss from their last five outings. However, they are now winless in their last three, so they'll want to get back to winning ways here.
BTTS has occurred in all of their last four games, and that's a theme we expect to continue here. With four goals in the league so far, Wilson Isidor remains Sunderland's most potent attacking threat.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, are currently 8th in the league table, level with Sunderland on 19 points. The Cherries have also enjoyed a strong start to the campaign despite losing so many players in the summer, and they might well feel as though their performances warrant more points than they currently have.
Andoni Iraola's men enter this game having won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five games. Despite winning only once, Bournemouth's performances have been strong and they've dropped points in games they dominated.
They tend to be a very entertaining watch, with BTTS having occurred in five of their last seven games, while over 2.5 goals have been scored in six of their last seven outings. The Stadium of Light is one of the tougher grounds to visit in the Premier League so three points is a huge ask from Bournemouth's perspective. More likely is a share of the spoils, and that's what we're backing.
Sunderland 2-2 Bournemouth
