Two sides looking to register their first win of the 2023/24 Champions League campaign meet on Tuesday night as Manchester United welcome FC København to Old Trafford.
Manchester United currently sit bottom of Group A with two defeats from their first two games of the campaign.
United kicked off proceedings with a 4-3 defeat away at Bayern Munich before falling to a second consecutive loss at home to Galatasaray.
United's Champions League form has been reflective of their season as a whole with Erik ten Hag's men a dishevelled mess at best, clearly lacking a coherent playing style and any semblance of balance within their starting XI.
It feels as though it's been a perpetual struggle for United fans post-Alex Ferguson and first two months of the season would suggest that is not about to change. They are, though, coming into this game off the back of a much-needed win over Sheffield United at the weekend as they ran out 2-1 winners at Bramall Lane.
The performance was far from convincing but they've now won two league games on the bounce for the first time this season and even if they did come in unimpressive fashion it does at least allow them to accumulate some much-needed momentum.
Harry Maguire was also named Man of the Match in the win at the weekend in what will be another small victory for both club and player following what has been an incredibly turbulent time.
United are very much on the back foot in terms of qualification from this group into the knockout stages and they cannot afford more defeats. This game is nothing short of a must-win for United so they pressure is very much on for Ten Hag and co.
FC København currently sit 3rd in Group A with one draw and one loss from their first two games of the campaign.
The Danish side began with a 2-2 draw away at Galatasaray before falling to a 1-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in their most recent game.
København will feel fairly aggrieved at only having one point on the board at this stage having performed admirably in both of their group games so far and will believe they were good value for a better result in both encounters.
They let a 2-0 lead slip in Turkey with just four minutes of normal time remaining and will feel hard done by not to have taken a point from the defeat to Bayern having played very well before conceding the winner in the 83rd minute.
They're the weakest team in this group but have shown they're clearly no pushovers as they sit top of their domestic league having four points from their last two games.
Like United, this is a must-win game for København if they are to avoid finishing bottom of the group and based on their recent performances they'll fancy the Red Devils are there for the taking.
For our Manchester United vs. FC København prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.
