RB Leipzig kick off their Champions League game with an away tie against Swiss side BSC Young Boys in Group G.
Despite being drawn into the same group as Manchester City, RB Leipzig will be fairly pleased at the group they've been drawn into in this year's competition as they share it with this week's opponents and Red Star Belgrade.
No disrespect to their opponents but Leipzig should breeze through this group and they come into this game in very good shape.
After losing to Bayer Leverkusen on the opening weekend, Leipzig have cruised to victory in each of their last three games having won all of them by a combined scoreline of 11-1.
Leipzig have a plethora of attacking talent at their disposal with summer signings Loïs Openda and Benjamin Šeško looking every bit the young talents they are purported to be.
However, one man in particular has stood out above the rest in a Leipzig shirt during the course of the last few games and that man is on loan PSG attacker Xavi Simons.
Simons has long been touted as one of the world's elite prospects and after a stunted first couple of seasons of his senior career he's now starting to look like the player everyone thought he would be as he enters this game having notched three goals in his last three games.
The Dutch international is a multifaceted attacker and could play a huge role for the Bundesliga club in the Champions League this season as he gets the chance to showcase his talents in front of the world.
His side should win this one fairly comfortably here and he'll fancy himself to be at the forefront of the win.
After missing out on the competition last year, BSC Young Boys are back in the Champions League group stages and are looking to pull off a shock.
Like their opponents, they'll be fairly happy with the group they been drawn in given they have only one European heavyweight as opposed to two, and while finishing above Leipzig is a mammoth task it's a more realistic goal than if a side like Barcelona joined City in the group.
Young Boys have made a strong start to this season and they're coming into this game in good form having gone unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions, winning four of them including their most recent game.
If they are to progress from this group then this one is a must-win for them and while they're clear underdogs their fans will back them to the hills here.
For our Young Boys vs. RB Leipzig prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
