Fenerbahçe will be aiming for a return to the win column this Thursday when they meet with Ludogorets in the Europa Conference League after a dramatic loss to Trabzonspor and not long after beating the Bulgarian side in Europe.
Michy Batshuayi got a rare start ahead of Edin Dzeko that day and managed to secure a goal in the 3-1 win. Miha Zajc scored soon after and then netted another goal for himself in the dying embers of the match. It keeps the Super Lig giants on a perfect record of three wins from three games and with only three goals let in too. They've also managed to score eight times and defeat Spartak Trnava away from home while also defeating Nordsjaelland 3-1.
Over the weekend, however, Fenerbahce fell to just their first defeat in the league and were knocked off top spot by Galatasaray as a result. Trabzonspor were the winners that day, as they secured a famous 3-2 win after a Dusan Tadic brace. Nevertheless, this was just the eighth goal let in from 11 matches, while they've also won 10 of the 11 games in the Super Lig and are no doubt one of the contenders for the Europa Conference League too.
As for Ludogorets, they are third in the Bulgarian First League but have managed to win their three games since the loss to Fenerbahce the other week. They've managed to keep two clean sheets by defeating Slavia Sofia and Krumovgrad, while they've also defeated Hebar 1918 too.
Ludogorets have now won 10 games from the 15 matches they've played on the domestic front, and with a game in hand to play as well, they could head to the top of the table if results go their way. The club have also scored a stunning 36 goals already and let in just nine in the First League.
