            Olympiacos vs Ferencvaros Preview, Tips & Stats

            The Karaiskakis Stadium hosts Olympiacos and Ferencvaros in the Europa Conference League Knockout Play-offs on Thursday. Olympiacos crashed out of the Europa League and face Ferencvaros after they failed to win their group.

            Olympiacos finished third in Group A in the Europa League. In six games, Olympiacos had two wins, one draw and three losses, leaving them on seven points, five points from Freiburg in second and eight points from winners West Ham.

Back in the NB I, Ferencvaros hosted Zalaegerszegi. Krisztian Lisztes, Ismail Aaneba and Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane all scored in the 3 - 0 win for Ferencvaros.

            Mohammad Abu Fani, Stjepan Loncar and Aleksandar Pesic all scored in the 3 - 1 win over Kisvarda, who had Jasmin Mesanovic on the scoresheet. Barnabas Varga opened the scoring for Ferencvaros but Istvan Bognar equalised within ten minutes for MTK Budapest. However, Varga grabbed four goals that game and was joined on the scoresheet by Loncar in the 5 - 1 win for Ferencvaros.

            The most recent outing for Ferencvaros was against Debrecen. Christian Manrique opened the scoring for Debrecen in the first minute but goals from Varga and Zachariassen gave Ferencvaros the 2 - 1 win.

            Olympiacos and Ferencvaros have met just twice in their histories, with these meetings coming back in the 1996/97 Europa League First Round. Ferencvaros won the first leg 3 - 1 and after a 2 - 2 draw in the second leg, Ferencvaros winning 5 - 3 on aggregate.

            Carlos Carvalhal will be without Youssef El Arabi, Gelson Martins, Panagiotis Retsos and Doron Leidner due to injury. However, the likes of Navarro, Ruben Vezo, Ivan Brnic, Jovane, Guilin Biancone and Nelson Abbey are all ineligible to play in the Europa Conference League.

            Dejan Stankovic only has one big injury, that being the torn lateral knee ligament to Adam Halmai that has kept him out all season.
