Feyenoord vs. Roma Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Feyenoord vs. Roma prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the home side.

We have a mouthwatering clash in the Europa League quarterfinal as Feyenoord take on Roma in a rematch of last season's Europa Conference League final.

Feyenoord reached the quarterfinal of the Europa League by hammering Shakhtar Donetsk in the last 16 by a whopping 8-2 scoreline.

The first leg ended all square in a 1-1 draw but in the second leg the Dutch side but their opponents to the sword and comprehensively trounced the Ukrainian side in a 7-1 drubbing.

Feyenoord are flying this season and enter this game top of the Dutch Eredivisie with an eight point lead over 2nd place Ajax as they now look almost certain to claim a first league title since 2017.

Their form coming into this game is very good, too, having won four of their last five matches having lost only one of their last twenty-four games in all competitions.

Most recently, Feyenoord comfortably beat RKC Waalwijk 5-1 at the weekend to warm up for this clash.

The Eredivisie leaders are very tough to beat when playing on home soil having lost only once on their own turf all season.

Feyenoord will desperate to exact revenge on Roma after last season's Europa League Conference final defeat and it's safe to say they're an improved side coming into this clash so it's fair to say they should fancy themselves here.

Roma reached the quarterfinal of the Europa League by claiming an impressive win over La Liga side Real Sociedad in the last 16.

Roma beat their Spanish counterparts 2-0 at the Stadio Olympico courtesy of goals from Stephan El Shaarawy and Marsh Kumbulla before seeing out the job with a 0-0 draw in San Sebastian.

Roma are having a solid season as they sit 3rd in the Serie A table, but as they sit twenty-one points shy of Napoli at the top it's hard not to feel they're underwhelming slightly having spent a lot of money on squad reinforcements throughout the last few transfer windows.

They enter this game amidst a mixed run of form having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last four matches.

Their most recent game saw them secure a laboured 1-0 win away a Torino courtesy of a Paulo Dybala penalty.

That victory was their first away from home in seven matches having drawn two and lost four of their six games prior on the road, so their vulnerability when travelling is a big concern coming into this game.

This is a hugely difficult game for Roma and despite having beaten Feyenoord 1-0 in last season's Conference League final there is no doubt a unanimous feeling amongst Roma fans that it will be a much tougher assignment this time around.
