We have a mouthwatering tie in the Europa League semi-final as AS Roma welcome Bayer Leverkusen to the Italian capital.
Roma reached the semi-final of the Europa League by beating Dutch club Feyenoord 4-2 on aggregate after beating the Eredivisie leaders 4-1 after extra-time following a 1-0 defeat in the first leg.
Jose Mourinho's side are having somewhat of an underwhelming season in Serie A as they find themselves in 7th place in the table, five points shy of the top four with just four games remaining.
This comes in light of significant investment in the squad last summer, too, and should they fail to crack the Champions League places then questions will no doubt be asked of Mourinho following this campaign.
They enter this game in poor form having failed to win any of their last four matches, the most recent of which was a 0-2 loss at home to Inter.
Their form at home is stronger having won three of their last five on home soil but having failed to win any of their last two at home there is some concern heading into this game.
Mourinho could significantly ease pressure on himself by winning this tournament and despite Roma's form they'll still feel they have an excellent chance given they're now in the semi-finals. They need something to take back to Germany, though, so the pressure is on here.
Bayer Leverkusen reached the semi-final of the Europa League by beating Union Saint-Gilloise 5-2 on aggregate after winning 4-1 away in Belgium in the second leg following a 1-1 draw in Germany.
The Bundesliga side have been revolutionised by Xabi Alonso following the Spaniard's appointment back in October having turned the club's fortunes around.
They enter this game amidst a mixed run of form having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games.
Most recently Leverkusen fell to a 1-2 defeat at home to Köln, a result that marked their first defeat since February.
Alonso will be hoping this does not signify that his side are about to enter a period of barren form as they enter a crucial part of the season with this their biggest European game in a number of years.
Their away form has been impressive having won three and drawn two of their last five on the road, so they'll feel confident of walking away with something here.
Rome is a tough place to go but their opponents are not in great form at present so Leverkusen should be hungry to take a first leg lead back to Germany.
For our Roma vs. Bayer Leverkusen prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
