England are rounding up their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign with a trip to North Macedonia on Monday as they look to end on a high note.
North Macedonia currently sit 4th in qualifying Group C with two wins, one draw and four losses from seven games so far in this campaign.
Having been drawn into an extremely tough group North Macedonia have performed largely as expected having scored 4th place in the group with a higher finish now not mathematically possible.
They'll feel frustrated about missing the tournament given they qualified last time out in what was their first ever appearance in a European Championship finals so they're now going back to the drawing board before attempting to go again in four years time.
For now they're looking to go out with a bang but they're coming into this game amidst a fairly poor run of form having won just one of their last three games, losing two of them.
Their most recent outing saw them fall to a resounding 5-2 loss away in Italy in a game few expected them to win, even despite their recent history against the Italians.
Having lost just one of their last five games at home they can boast a fairly solid record on home soil and while they're heavy underdogs for this game they'll feel like they can give England a run for their money.
England currently sit top of qualifying Group C with six wins and one draw from seven games during this campaign.
England have stormed through what is one of the tougher groups in this qualification process having sewn up top spot in the group and are just one win away from sealing a pot one seeding for the tournament.
Gareth Southgate's side are coming into this game amidst an excellent run of form having won eight and drawn one of their nine games since the World Cup, the most recent of which was a fairly drab 2-0 win over Malta.
The one bright spark of that game was the performance of Trent Alexander-Arnold who started his second game in midfield for England during this qualifying process and the Liverpool man delivered an impressive performance as he staked his claim to be the man who starts alongside Declan Rice in the middle of the park.
This game is not a dead rubber for England with a pot one seeding on the line so they'll very much be making a significant effort to claim all three points here so expect the Three Lions to push for all three points here.
For our North Macedonia vs. England prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the away side.
