            Portugal are aiming to keep up their perfect start to their Euro 2024 qualifiers campaign with Euro 2016 champions heading into this clash with Bosnia and Herzegovina having not conceded a single goal so far.

Pedro Neto also misses out, while Joao Mario has decided to retire from international football. Mário Rui is also not with the squad. Bruno Fernandes, Ruben Neves and Renato Sanches are all expected in midfield. Pepe will potentially start again at the age of 40 to get his 134th cap. Rui Patrício should start in goal once more for his 108th cap, but the form of Diogo Costa this past year could move him into starting contention for the foreseeable future.

            Bosnia and Herzegovina team news

            Edin Džeko is back with the squad but the country's captain may start on the bench after playing in the Champions League final last weekend - Dzeko has 64 goals in 127 caps for his nation. Miralem Pjanic will start once more in midfield alongside Benjamin Tahirović of Roma and Anel Ahmedhodžić should remain in defence after an excellent season with Sheffield United. Eldar Civic is the biggest absetee in defence for Bosnia with Amer Gojak of Ferencváros and Rade Krunic of AC Milan both out injured. Ermedin Demirović is also out in the attack with an injury.
