Switzerland will play hosts to Kosovo this weekend with the home side already featuring during this international break against Israel while the away team also defeated the Israelis just over a week ago.
Ruben Vargas was the hero for Switzerland in the 1-1 draw over Israel on Wednesday, but Edimilson Fernandes was also sent off and won't be able to feature here. Nevertheless, the Swiss still remain top of the table and are four clear of Israel in third place with only two games left to play. Ultimately, a win here for them would see them qualify for Euro 2024 with a game left to spare. Switzerland are still also unbeaten in Group I and have now drawn four and lost four games too.
The last match between these two ended in a 2-2 draw, as Vedat Muriqi continued to show why he is Kosovo's greatest-ever goalscorer with two goals, including an equaliser in the 94th minute - he is, however, injured for this game. Remo Freuler scored for Switzerland, as an own goal from Amir Rrahmani was the difference in them getting a point.
As for Kosovo, then can still qualify with six points left on the table and a six-point gap on Romania and Switzerland in the two qualification spots. However, they must now hope they win both their games and one of either Romania and Switzerland lose both their matches, while Israel are also two points above them in third.
