Norway have lost just once since March 2019 (11 matches), including two draws against this weekend’s opponents, Romania. During that time, we have seen the rise of Erling Haaland, who has shocked the world with his clinical finishing and is now one of the top strikers on the planet at just 20 years old.
Haaland scored 28 goals in 22 games for RB Salzburg, before making the January switch to Borussia Dortmund, where he continued his form to register 21 goals in 23 games. The striker has also scored three goals in his four international appearances for Norway and will be looking to add to his tally once again.
The two sides have drawn their last three meetings with one another, and this could be a close encounter once again, however, the emergence of Haaland has strengthened Stefan Johansen’s side significantly.
