Mega Acca Reasoning

Arsenal to beat Hull
Arsenal’s form in the league is very good, with Mikel Arteta’s side winning four and drawing one of their last five games. Their four wins have all been consecutive, coming against Leeds (2-1), Nottingham Forest (1-0), Everton (2-0) and Liverpool (1-0). Hull’s last five games have seen them lose to Newcastle (2-1) and Fulham (1-0) while drawing with Everton (2-2), Brentford (1-1) and Ipswich (2-2).

City to beat Forest
Manchester City have won six of the last 10 encounters between these two clubs across all competitions, with Forest only managing one win of their own during that period. Saturday’s hosts have only managed to win one match in all competitions so far this season, and that arrived away from The City Ground. Manchester City, on the other hand, have picked up seven wins from their opening nine league games.

Boreham Wood to beat Wigan
Boreham Wood are the runaway leaders in the National League, establishing a 12-point lead after 16 games played. Boreham Wood have won their last nine matches heading into this game. Wigan Athletic have conceded first in four of their previous five matches and the Latics have lost three of their last five league matches heading into this cup tie.

Southampton to beat Preston
Following a 3-2 defeat at home to Sheffield United, Preston North End are now without a win in their previous nine matches. Incredibly, the home side have not kept a clean sheet in 29 Championship matches, with their last clean sheet taking place back in February against Portsmouth. Southampton are on a six-match unbeaten run and this season the Saints have averaged over two goals per game in the league.

West Ham to beat Blackburn
Blackburn Rovers have lost three of their last five league games, including their previous two and conceded six in those two matches. West Ham United rescued a 3-3 draw in Scott Parker’s first game in charge and the Hammers have the best away record in the Championship, being the only side unbeaten on their travels in the league.

Cardiff to beat Burnley
Cardiff City have picked up 15 points in the league this season and 12 of which have come on home soil, as the Bluebirds have won three and drawn four of their seven home matches. Cardiff City have scored 16 goals in seven games at home this season. Burnley are on a five-game winless run, with two defeats and three draws. The Clarets have picked up only one away win this season.

Birmingham to beat Swansea
Birmingham City have not lost a home league fixture since the start of April, and the Blues have picked up 15 points from their previous six league matches. Birmingham City head into this game following a 3-0 home win against Millwall. Swansea City have lost three of their previous five league games, with two defeats coming away from home.

Sheff U to beat Charlton
Charlton Athletic have not won a league game since the end of August, as the Addicks have now gone 11 matches without a win in the Championship. The home side have lost each of their previous four league matches. Sheffield United are unbeaten in their last four games and have won four of their last six league fixtures.
