Belarusian Premier League Matchday 2: Betting Preview

Latest News

Friday's Belarusian Premier League Odds

The Belarusian Premier League is back for its second matchday of the new season. Last week saw plenty of upsets as heavyweights, Bate Borisov, lost 3-1 to Energetik-BGU, whilst champions Dinamo Brest drew 1-1 with Smolevichi-STI.

This time around, Ruh Brest meets with Energetik meet on matchday two, for what is now a very intriguing matchup, after what happened last time. Sky Bet are offering odds of 11/8 for the league leaders, Energetik, to win, as the home side, Brest, are 13/8 outsiders once more.

For this one, perhaps a BTTS result isn't a bad shout, as both of them have proved thus far they aren't scared in front of goal and can upset the odds.

The second game of Friday's fixtures sees Torpedo Zhodino host Belshina Bobruisk. Belshina got off to a dreadful start last time week, as they lost 3-1 to Minsk, and never looked at once a threat - they are understandably the 9/2 underdogs.

Torpedo, however, are a good price at 1/2 Sky Bet, after beating FC Shakhtyor 1-0 away from home.

Friday's fixtures

Torpedo Zhodino v Belshina Bobruisk - 15:00

Ruh Brest v Energetik-BGU - 17:00

Saturday's Belarusian Premier League odds

Saturday football returns with massive fixtures in the Belarusian Premier League. Slutsk will entertain champions Dinamo Brest, in what is an intriguing battle, after what happened on opening week.

Slutsk were 3-1 winners over Slavia-Mozyr, but are heading into this one as the 9/2 outsiders. On the other hand, after losing just once all league season long last campaign, Dinamo Brest are expected to get off the mark this time and could be worth putting in an acca builder at 4/9.

As mentioned, Slavia Mozyr come into their fixture in torrid form, although, so do Belarusian giants, BATE Borisov. As both sides leaked goals last time out, a BTTS is worth a go, and you can get 'BATE Borisov and yes' for a very worthy 11/5. Elsewhere, Sky Bet are also offering a tempting price of 11/8 for Borisov to win 1-0, 2-0, or 2-1; which is certainly worth considering after last week's action.

The 14:00 game sees a Minsk derby, as Minsk host neighbours Dinamo Minsk. Both sides are equally matched after Dinamo narrowly lost on matchday one to Ruh Brest, whilst Minsk looked impressive against Belshina in their 3-1 win.

The home side, Minsk, are underdogs at 23/10, but are most certainly worth a go in an acca builder, as this is a derby. Dinamo, however, are evens with Sky Bet, which, although appealing, is tough to include in an acca, as they drew 0-0 here last year and also lost last week. With this one as close as it is, the odds on Sky Bet's double chance should be worth a look for your acca.

The final game of Saturday's fixtures sees Minsk Gorodeya host Shakhtyor Sologorsk at 16:00. The away side are favourites here at 4/7, whilst Gorodeya are massive underdogs at 4/1. Both sides lost 1-0 on opening day, although it is important to Shakhtyor finished third last year, just five points off BATE Borisov, scoring only two goals less.

As a result, they are expected to come back strong this weekend and having them win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 at 6/4 is certainly worth a go.

Saturday's fixtures:

FC Slutsk v Dinamo Brest - 10:00

Slavia Mozyr v BATE Borisov - 12:00

Minsk v Dinamo Minsk - 14:00

Minsk Gorodeya v Shakhtyor Sologorsk - 16:00
