          Kick-off time: 20:00

          Location: Philips Stadion

Borussia Dortmund finished top of their group, the “group of death”, winning three games, drawing twice and losing just once. PSV finished second in their group but have been running away with their domestic league and will be looking to replicate it here.

PSV currently sit top of the Eredivisie after 22 games. Eindhoven have 20 wins and two draws, the only team in the league left unbeaten. This leaves them on 62 points, 13 points ahead of second-place Feyenoord.

Eindhoven have only made it out of the Champions League Group Stage five times in their 17 seasons in the competition. The furthest PSV have made it in the competition is the Semi-finals in 2005, where they drew 3 - 3 on aggregate but lost on away goals.

Borussia Dortmund, on the other hand, currently sit fourth in the Bundesliga. In 22 games, Dortmund have 11 wins, eight draws and three losses which leaves them on 41 points, 17 points below league leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Dortmund have won the Champions League once in 1997, a 3 - 1 win over Juventus in the Final. Since then, Dortmund have reached the Final once more, where they faced a 2 - 1 loss to rivals Bayern Munich. After 2013, Dortmund have only made the Quarter-finals, three times.

PSV and Borussia Dortmund have met just once in their histories, a club friendly back in 2017. Marco Reus and Shinji Kagawa both scored in the first half to give Dortmund the 2 - 0 lead at halftime. Andre Schurrle added a third ten minutes into the second half but Luuk de Jong got PSV on the scoresheet just five minutes later. Christian Pulisic then grabbed a goal in the 74th minute to wrap up a 4 - 1 win for Dortmund.

          Recent Form

In their last five games in all competitions, PSV have three wins, one draw and one loss.

The Round of 16 of the KNVB Cup saw first and second in the league take each other on. Despite having 60% of the possession, PSV could only manage two shots on target as Quinten Timber scored the only goal of the game in the first half to give Feyenoord the 1 - 0 win.

Back in the Eredivisie, PSV took on Almere. De Jong scored his first goal on the stroke of halftime and he completed his brace with a penalty in the second half to give PSV the 2 - 0 win over Almere, who had just 29% of the possession.

De Topper saw a struggling Ajax take on PSV. Steven Berghuis gave Ajax the lead before the 20 minute mark but de Jong equalised for PSV before halftime. Despite having 18 shots, PSV were unable to find another goal and had to settle for a 1 - 1 draw.

An own goal from Jordan Teze gave Volendam the lead in the first minute but Saibari equalised for PSV before halftime. However, Jerdy Schouten, Teze, Ricardo Pepi and Isaac Babadi all scored in the second half to give PSV the 5 - 1 win.

The last time out for PSV was against Heracles. Following the 13th minute red card to Heracles’ Bryan Limbombe, de Jong scored to give PSV the 1 - 0 lead at halftime. Olivier Boscagli added another in the second half for a 2 - 0 win for PSV.

In their last five games in all competitions, Borussia Dortmund have three wins and two draws.

A brace from Donyell Malen, a penalty from Niclas Fullkrug and a late goal from Youssoufa Moukoko gave Dortmund the dominant 4 - 0 win over Koln, despite Koln having 19 shots.

Fullkrug was on the scoresheet again for Dortmund against Bochum, this time picking up a hat-trick. Fullkrug opened the scoring in the sixth minute but an own goal from Nico Schlotterbeck levelled the game just on halftime. However, the second and third goals in the second half gave Dortmund the 3 - 1 win.

The next time out for Dortmund was a trip to Heidenheim. Dortmund could only manage five shots on target with 70% of the possession and Heidenheim had zero shots on target in a 0 - 0 draw.

Dortmund were back to winning ways against Freiburg. Malen opened the scoring in the 16th minute and doubled the lead in the seventh minute of first half added time. Fullkrug added a third in the 87th minute to give Dortmund the 3 - 0 win over Freiburg.

The most recent outing for Dortmund was a trip to Wolfsburg. Fullkrug was on the scoresheet yet again for Dortmund, giving them the early 1 - 0 lead in the eighth minute. However, Yannick Gerhardt scored just after the 60 minute mark to grab a 1 - 1 draw for Wolfsburg.

          Footy Accumulators Prediction

Despite their compelling form in the Eredivisie, it’s not too likely that this will translate into a win over Borussia Dortmund. However, it is likely to be a tight game with both teams on the scoresheet. PSV 2-2 Borussia Dortmund
