Championship Play-Offs Winner 2020/21

Brentford play-off odds

After heartbreakingly missing out on promotion – first on the final day of the season and then in the Playoff Final – Brentford were one of the top teams in the Championship last season. The Bees scored more goals than any team in the league, finding the net on 80 occasions – three more than promoted Leeds and West Bromwich Albion – thanks to their attacking mentality and frontline of Said Benrahma and Bryan Mbeumo.

The trio, including Ollie Watkins, were prolific last season, finding the net 57 times between them in the Championship alone. However, with the loss of Watkins and the addition of Ivan Toney, do expect the goals to slightly decrease.

However, just like they are to win the title, the Bees are the favourites to snatch the play-off trophy. Brentford odds to win the play-offs sit at 8/1 - you claim this bet right here and have it straight in your bet slip.

Norwich play-off odds

Norwich are obviously expected to be a threat in the Championship after spending one year in the Premier League before suffering relegation for a record fifth time. The Canaries have kept hold of their team for the most part, with Teemu Pukki set to lead their attack in the upcoming Championship season, whilst Norwich have also escaped bids for Todd Cantwell thus far. The attacking midfielder impressed last season, acting as a bright spark in a particularly bleak season for Norwich City and their fans.

However, with their attacking might still intact, the club isn’t resting on their laurels – they signed Jordan Hugill from West Ham; a forward who scored 13 goals for QPR last season. The Canaries will be near the top of the Championship in 2020/21, particularly because they have experience winning the division two years ago. If they don’t gain automatic promotion, they will be big favourites to progress through the play-offs.

Watford to win play-offs odds

Watford hired Vladimir Ilic to be their new manager, and the Serbian appears to be the hire that the trigger-happy ownership at Vicarage Road crave thanks to his attacking football.

Last season, Ivic led Maccabi Tel Aviv to the Israeli title after scoring 63 goals in 36 games – and conceding just 10. With the likes of Troy Deeney and Ismaila Sarr still at the club despite reports linking them with a move away, the Hornets could prove to be difficult to deal with in the Championship, especially if they keep the likes of Danny Welbeck and Roberto Pereyra.

With a squad that consists of much Premier League experience, Watford are likely to navigate through the Championship, which is why they are favourites to win the playoffs.

Bournemouth to win the play-offs odds

Whilst losing manager Eddie Howe was a blow, Bournemouth certainly have the quality to bounce back in 2020/21. Their strength lies in the attacking quality, and if the club can keep most of their stars, the Cherries will be a sure bet to impress in the Championship. Aaron Ramsdale, Nathan Ake, Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser have all already departed, whilst the likes of David Brooks are also reportedly looking to move out.

New signings are needed after losing so many star names so quickly, and without Eddie Howe, the club have taken an even bigger hit.

Bournemouth may struggle this campaign, but to win the play-offs, their odds are priced at 12/1 - click here to claim.

Nottingham Forest to win the play-offs odds

After missing out on the Championship Playoffs by a single goal despite having a better defensive record than Swansea, Nottingham Forest must be focusing on scoring more goals in the new season.

Striker Lewis Grabban certainly did his best, scoring 20 himself last season with none of his teammates hitting double digits. Joe Lolley scored 9 times, but the Forest’s issue is clear to see: they need another goalscorer. If they bring one in, they could definitely push for a spot in the Championship play-offs.

The loss of Matty Cash to Aston Villa hurts, but if they wisely invest the money into the squad, Forest deservedly should be recognised as an outside threat - they are 12/1 to win the play-offs.

cardiff to win play-offs odds

During a season that ended in the Championship play-off semi-finals, Cardiff City scored plenty of goals – 68 in the league, which was good enough to be ranked fourth, ahead of Fulham who achieved promotion. The Bluebirds are a particularly interesting team, as they don’t have a true goalscorer within their ranks, but share the goals surprisingly fairly throughout the squad.

Lee Tomlin scored 8 goals for them in the Championship last season, and he was followed by Junior Hoilett, Robert Glatzel, Danny Ward and Joe Ralls, who all struck 7 times. They somehow achieved a place in the playoffs last season without a clear goalscorer. If Cardiff sign a striker before the season begins, they will certainly be a force in the Championship – they did it a year ago, after all.

Stoke to win play-offs odds

Despite finishing 15th in the Championship last season, Stoke City are being looked at as an outside shot to win the playoffs and return to the Premier League. The Potters did end the season in good form, winning three of their final four games – and drawing the other.

During that run, Stoke defeated Brentford – who finished third in the Championship – and Nottingham Forest 4-1 away from home. They still possess quality with Premier League and international experience in Joe Allen, Jack Butland, Bruno Martins Indi and James McClean.

They signed ex-Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel this summer in an attempt to shore up their midfield, and if they hit the ground running, Stoke will be a team that nobody wants to face in the Championship play-offs.

swansea to win play-offs

Swansea City snuck into the playoffs last season, and had one foot in the final when they defeated Brentford in the first leg by a single goal to nil. However, a 3-1 defeat in the second leg sent the Welsh side packing, but you shouldn’t be surprised if Swansea return to the Championship Playoffs in 2020/21.

Andre Ayew is still at the club, and his talent will help the club attack this season, whilst the loan signing of Morgan Gibbs-White from Wolves could prove crucial as he adds quality to Swansea’s midfield.

Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster excelled on loan in Wales with 11 goals in 22 appearances, but he appears to be unavailable for manager Steve Cooper. Swansea need to replace his impact, and a shrewd signing could help elevate them into the playoffs – where they will be a threat.
