EFL season almost over

The regular EFL season draws to it's conclusion this weekend after a gruelling 9 month schedule. League One and Two hit the 46 game mark on Saturday, followed by the end of the Championship on Sunday.

It's been another magnificent campaign across the Football League, producing plenty of memorable moments and terrific matches - so we're very excited for the play-offs to get underway next week.

The majority of the clubs in the Football League have a good idea of what awaits them next season in terms of league placement, so their plans for the new campaign will undoubtedly be underway already.

The end of the season is very different for clubs in the Football League compared to the Premier League. Players tend not to be tied down to lucrative 4/5 year deals, meaning they're working hard in order to earn an extension.

Some unfortunately miss out and have to head off elsewhere in the hunt for first team action and a new deal & in the Championship this is no different. There's a huge number of players who're set to be available on a free this summer across the divisions 24 clubs and there bound to interest sides both in the second tier & further down the ladder.

Deals are set to expire for over 100 players in the Championship, with the likes of Wilfried Bony, Gareth Barry, Stewart Downing, and Micah Richards amongst the biggest names potentially available on a free.

We've gone through and listed each clubs players who's deals are expiring - think they could cut it at your club? Get involved in the debate @FootyAccums!
