Championship Promotion 19/20 Odds

The race for promotion to the Premier League is heating up with there being several clubs with a chance of going up. We’ve had a look at the latest odds for promotion and have provided links to take you to the relevant slip should you wish to back it. Please note that the odds are correct as of 11/02/20 and are subject to change.

West Brom - 1/3

Naturally, the current Championship leaders West Brom are the favourites to return to the Premier League. The Baggies currently find themselves 4 points clear at the top of the table and 9 points clear of 7th place, so unless they experience a monumental collapse, the Hawthorns will once again be hosting Premier League games next season.

West Brom

Leeds - 2/5

In second place we have Leeds United who find themselves in second place thanks to their superior goal difference over Fulham. Leeds looked to be well on their way to the Premier League earlier in the season, but a poor spell of 5 defeats and 3 draws in 10 Championship games has cut the gap between themselves and 3rd, severely damaging their hopes of automatic promotion, however, there is still a 5 point cushion between Leeds and 7th place for them to gain promotion via the play-offs.

Brentford - 4/6

The bookies’ third favourite to join the Premier League next season is Brentford, with the London side aiming for their first-ever season in the Premier League. The Bees currently find themselves 5th in the Championship on 53 points and only 2 points behind Leeds in second and have Ollie Watkins to thank for their position, with the 24-year-old striker scoring 20 goals in 30 Championship games so far this season.

Fulham - 11/8

Despite being ahead of Brentford in the table, third place Fulham have a slightly bigger price on them to be promoted to the Premier League. The Cottagers are enjoying a good run of form, winning 5 of their last 7 Championship games, but a tough run of games which will see them face: Millwall, Derby, Preston, Bristol City, Brentford and Leeds in their upcoming 8 games will be a tough test for Fulham, with defeats potentially being disastrous for their hopes of promotion.

Nottingham Forest - 3/1

Nottingham Forest are also hoping their long awaited return to the Premier League could be on the cards, with Forest’s last Premier League season being the 98/99 season. A recent 2-0 victory against Leeds was huge for Forrest’s hunt for promotion as they find themselves just 1 point behind an automatic promotion spot, as well as having a 4 point cushion between themselves and Bristol City in 7th.

Nottingham Forest

Preston - 6/1

Another team who is looking to join the Premier League for the first time in their history is Preston North End, with their last first division season being the 60/61 season. Preston only just find themselves in the play-off positions on goal difference, with Bristol City breathing down their necks should they drop points, with difficult games against Millwall, West Brom and Fulham on the horizon, Preston’s hopes for promotion could either take a huge beating or be significantly improved.

Below are some of the remaining Championship teams and their odds for promotion to the Premier League:

Sheffield Wednesday - 16/1

Bristol City - 18/1

Millwall - 18/1

Swansea - 22/1
