Reading hosts Middlesbrough this Saturday, with most of Boro’s fans hoping to see if Chuba Akpom can continue his great form so far this season.

Swansea City face off against Luton Town this Saturday, looking to build off of a 2 - 2 draw with Milwall from the midweek fixtures.

Joel Piroe hasn’t scored for The Swans in the Championship so far this season despite playing in all four of the opening games. However, his impressive form last season suggests that the Dutchman is able to supply the goals for The Swans.

Before making his move to English football, Piroe had only played in the Dutch leagues, his final season being on loan with Sparta Rotterdam. However, this didn’t hinder him when he finally made the move to the Championship. Piroe scored 22 goals in 45 appearances in his debut season for The Swans, making him the fourth top scorer in the league.

As one of the most prolific strikers in the Championship last season, it’s only a matter of time before the Dutchman finds his form this season, making him one of the most likely to find the back of the net this match week.

West Brom welcomes Hull City to The Hawthorns this Saturday with The Baggies needing a win to get their promotion push up and running after a 2 - 1 loss to Blackburn and a 0 - 0 draw with Cardiff in the midweek.

Karlan Grant was West Brom’s top scorer last season, and already has a goal to his name this season, in just two appearances. The Englishman got his first of the campaign in the first half added time against Watford, earning The Baggies a point against one of the promotion favourites.

Grant’s 2021/22 season was nothing less than impressive for West Brom, scoring 18 goals in 44 appearances. This made him the sixth highest scorer in the Championship, a high placement for a striker playing for a team that fell outside of the Play-off places.

Overall, Grant is a big shout to score any time he’s in the West Brom starting eleven, so this weekend, he could be more than likely to bag a goal against Hull.

Blackburn Rovers travel to Bramall Lane to face off against Sheffield United this Saturday. Rovers come into the game needing to bounce back from a shock 3 - 0 defeat by Reading, though, Sheffield United won’t be an easy game, with The Blades coming off a 2 - 1 win over Sunderland.

Ben Brereton Diaz was a stand-out for Blackburn last season, and has already started his 2022/23 season positively. Diaz has two goals and an assist already in four games, the Chilean international averaging 0.51 goals per 90 minutes.

His start this season and his impressive 22 goals in the 2021/22 season has led to interest in the player from many Premier League clubs, namely Everton and Bournemouth.

Brereton looks as if he may improve on his tally from last season, and therefore should always be on the radar to be on the scoresheet any time he’s on the pitch for Blackburn, including this weekend against The Blades.
