England’s Euro 2020 Squad Bet Specials - Forwards

Over the past few days, we’ve been looking at the odds for which players will be part of England’s 23-man squad for the Euros later this year. This time, we’ve looked at how could make up the attack for England and the odds of each individual player being selected by Gareth Southgate. If you would like to back any of the players to make the squad, we’ve provided the relevant link for each player that will take you to the relevant bet slip. Please note that the odds are correct as of 18/01/20.

Raheem Sterling - 1/33

Along with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Harry Maguire, Raheem Sterling is one of the low odd favourites to make the 23-man squad. There isn’t really much that needs to be said about Raheem Sterling as since his move to Manchester City, he has made a name for himself as one of the best-attacking players in Europe, showing talent both in front of goal and setting up teammates.

Raheem Sterling - 1/33

Harry Kane - 1/6

Despite suffering an injury during Tottenham’s game against Southampton a couple of weeks ago, Sky Bet are still offering a 1/16 price for Sterling to make the Euros later this year. There have been mixed reports to whether Kane will be fit, with some sources saying that he will be fit for Tottenham selection by mid-April, and some saying that he has no chance of making the Euros. If you’re optimistic and think he could be fit in time, you can back it by clicking the link below.

Harry Kane - 1/6

Jadon Sancho - 1/12

The likely option to play right of the striker is Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. In his opening 24 appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season, Sancho has been involved in 25 goals, scoring 12 goals and registering 13 assists. Despite playing the majority of his football on the right-wing, Sancho is a flexible player who is capable of switching sides and playing on the left of the striker as well as playing behind the striker in a number 10 role, that kind of flexibility is useful as it will give Southgate as many options in attack as possible when it comes to starting 11s and changing tactic mid-game.

Jadon Sancho - 1/12

Marcus Rashford - 1/8

Similar to Sancho, Marcus Rashford is another versatile player as he is capable of playing on the wing and even up front as a striker. After a reasonably poor start to the season for Manchester United, Rashford has rediscovered his form and has scored 14 goals in his opening 22 Premier League games this season. As well as his good form for Manchester United, Rashford has been a regular for England as he has featured in 6 of their 8 Euro 2020 qualifiers, so Rashford is clearly a big part of Southgate’s plans for Euro 2020.

Marcus Rashford - 1/8

Tammy Abraham - 1/4

After spending the past couple of seasons on loan, Tammy Abraham has taken his chance since returning to Chelsea, scoring 15 goals in his opening 29 games for Chelsea this season. With Kane being the only player we’ve mentioned so far who solely plays as a striker, naturally, England will need a backup for Kane should he get injured, and given Abraham’s good form for Chelsea this season, you’d imagine that he will be that backup.

Tammy Abraham - 1/4

Danny Ings - 5/4

A surprise addition to the 23-man squad could be Southampton’s Danny Ings who’s been on fire for Southampton this season. After underwhelming spells at Liverpool and Bournemouth, Ings has rediscovered the form that he showed at Burnley and has scored 16 goals in his opening 24 games for Southampton this season. Personally, we can’t see Ings being included in the squad if both Kane and Abraham are fit for the Euros, but if the rumours that Kane will be out for the Euros are correct, Ings could definitely be included in the squad.

Danny Ings - 5/4

Below are some of the remaining odds for attackers to make the 23-man squad:
