Arsenal host Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt on Thursday in the 2nd game of their Europa League campaign, after their original second game against PSV had been postponed three weeks ago.

The Gunners opened their Europa League campaign with a 2-1 win over Zurich at the beginning of September, and have won both of the games they have played since in the Premier League, scoring six goals in the process. The hosts have made an impressive start to both their domestic and European campaigns, sitting top of both the Eredivisie and Group E of the Conference League. Alkmaar are surely favourites to win this game, especially considering the fact that they have lost just once so far this season (in Conference League qualifying), and have dropped points in just two of their games this season.

In contrast, Apollon have picked up just a point in this group so far, so this should be a routine, yet big win for the Dutch side.

Unai Emery’s Villarreal host Austria Vienna in what will be each side’s third group-stage match of this Europa Conference League campaign.

Villarreal currently sit top of the group with two wins from two games, whereas Thursday’s opponents are bottom with no wins, instead picking up one draw and one loss. A win is likely for the hosts here, simply due to their sheer superiority over their opponents, who are in poor form and have only two wins in their last six in all competitions – and even those two wins came against the two bottom sides in their domestic league.

Villarreal are on slightly better form with three wins in their last six in all competitions, and they did manage to score four goals in two of those wins, so this should ultimately be an easy win for the Yellow Submarine.

Erik ten Hag’s men make the journey to the capital of Cyprus in hopes of picking up a morale-boosting win, after they were dismantled 6-3 by city rivals Manchester City on Sunday.

City were 4-0 up at half-time and went on to score two more in the second half in what was an embarrassing day for the Red Devils. But this Europa League fixture provides ten Hag’s side with the chance to pick up a much-needed win, and they will feel relatively confident in getting one. They have a win and a loss so far in their group, leaving them second and are still heavy favourites to make it out of the group stages.

This match against the group’s bottom side Omonia, who have no points so far, is the perfect opportunity for a victory by a large margin, which will boost the confidence of Manchester United.

New signing Antony has settled in well with two goals to his name so far, and Anthony Martial’s two goals in the derby will also mean he is likely to start in this fixture. To ensure victory, Erik ten Hag may also opt to start Cristiano Ronaldo, who will relish the chance to add to his illustrious goalscoring record.

Latvian minnows Rigas Futbola Skola host Turkish Group A table-toppers Istanbul Basaksehir in the Conference League, and despite thoughts that they would be the group’s whipping boys, the Latvian side have performed admirably so far.

They managed to steal a shock 1-1 draw away to Serie A side Fiorentina in the opening group-stage game, before losing 2-0 at home to Hearts. Those results mean that they currently sit third in the group, surprisingly ahead of Fiorentina.

RFS are also in decent form in their domestic league, with four wins in their last six and still just about in the title race. But they will face a much tougher test than before in an Istanbul Basaksehir side who have won their opening two matches, putting four past Hearts and then three past Fiorentina. The visitors have five wins from six in all competitions, and with the likes of Bertrand Traore and Mesut Ozil to call upon in their ranks, it may turn out to be a heavy defeat for the Latvian side.
