Despite Marseille having 22 shots with ten of those on target against PSG, they were unable to find the back of the net, even with PSG down to ten men for an entire half - Lucas Beraldo sent off in the 40th minute. However, Vitinha and Goncalo Ramos both scored in the second half to give PSG the 2 - 0 win.

After a goalless first half, a penalty from Jonathan David gave Lille the lead with Remy Cabella doubling the lead for Lille with 20 minutes to go. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did get on the scoresheet for Marseille but it wasn’t enough as Gabriel Gudmundsson scored to secure the 3 - 1 win for Lille.

The first leg of the Europa League Quarter Final saw Marseille in Portugal to take on Benfica. Goals from Rafa Silva and Angel Di Maria gave Benfica the 2 - 0 lead early in the first half. Aubameyang was on the scoresheet again for Marseille but they couldn’t find another goal and suffered a 2 - 1 loss.

The second leg of the Europa League Quarter Final saw Marseille host Benfica. Faris Moumbagna scored the only goal of the game in the 79th minute to give Marseille the 1 - 0 win on the night, though this sent the tie to penalties. Misses from Antonio Silva and Di Maria gave Marseille the 4 - 2 win.

The last time out for Marseille was against Toulouse. Jean Onana opened the scoring for Marseille late on in the first half but Rasmus Nicolaisen made it level in the first half added time. Yann Gboho thought he had won it for Toulouse in the 82nd minute but a goal in the sixth minute of extra time grabbed a 2 - 2 draw for Marseille.

In their last five games in all competitions, Nice have two wins, one draw and two losses.

The Quarter Final of the French Cup saw Nice take on PSG. Kylian Mbappe and Fabian Ruiz put PSG into a 2 - 0 lead just after the 30 minute mark. Gaetan Laborde did get Nice on the scoresheet before halftime but a second half goal from Beraldo gave PSG the 3 - 1 win.

Terem Moffi opened the scoring in the 11th minute to give Nice the 1 - 0 lead at halftime with Khephren Thuram doubling the lead early in the second half. A penalty from Moffi added a third and despite a goal from Elye Wahi, Nice secured a 3 - 1 win.

Nantes took a 1 - 0 lead into the break through a 19th minute goal from Matthis Abline but Nice equalised with 20 minutes to go with a penalty from Moffi. However, a penalty from Mostafa Mohamed just five minutes later gave Nantes the 2 - 1 win.

The trip to Reims saw Nice register 18 shots but with only three on target as they failed to find the back of the net and settled for a 0 - 0 draw.

The most recent outing for Nice was against Lorient. Morgan Sanson got Nice up and running in the first half and an own goal from Isaak Toure doubled the lead early in the second half. A goal in the last minute of normal time from Evann Guessand then secured the 3 - 0 win for Nice.
