On the other hand, Mainz have lost their last two matches to Wolfsburg 3-0 and Bayern Munich 6-2. Before this, they had beaten Koln 5-0, Lubeck 3-0 and Werder Bremen 2-0.

Manchester City hosts Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday in the League Cup, with the home side coming in as firm favourites.

Three of City’s last five games have seen the Over 2.5 Goals market land, following 2-1 and two 3-1 wins over Fulham, Sevilla and Brighton. Their other two matches have seen them beat Leicester 1-0 and draw 0-0 away at Borussia Dortmund.

In Serie A, 13th in the table Sassuolo and sixth place AS Roma go head to head in what should be an intriguing contest.

Sassuolo come into this match in poor form, having lost four of their last five matches to Empoli 1-0 and Napoli 4-0, as well as Atalanta and Inter Milan by 2-1 scorelines. Their only win in this sequence of games came at home to Hellas Verona as Armand Lauriente and Davide Frattesi both got on the scoresheet in a 2-1 win.

Jose Mourinho’s men lost the Rome derby 1-0 at the weekend as Felipe Anderson scored the only goal of the game. Before their loss, Roma had won their last three matches, beating Ludogorets and Hellas Verona 3-1, as well as HJK 2-1. Before this sequence, Roma had lost 1-0 at home to Napoli.

The last game on this list comes from the German Bundesliga, where Koln and Bayern Leverkusen face off in a meeting of 12th and 14th.

Koln’s form has been poor of late, with the Europa Conference League providing their best results of late, having drawn 2-2 with Nice and beaten Slovacko 1-0. On top of this, Steffen Baumgart’s men have suffered 5-0 and 2-0 defeats to Mainz and Freiburg on either side of a 1-1 home draw with Hoffenheim.

Leverkusen thrashed Union Berlin 5-0 at the weekend via five second-half goals, as Robert Andrich, Moussa Diaby (2), Adam Hlozek and Mitchel Bakker all got on the scoresheet. Thus was a much-needed win for Xabi Alonso’s men who had drawn 0-0 with Club Brugge, lost 2-0 away at RB Leipzig, whilst also drawing 2-2 against both Atletico Madrid and Wolfsburg.
