Smart Acca Picks: Newcastle vs Leicester Could be one to Watch

On Tuesday, Wrexham hosts Bromley at the Racecourse Ground in what could be an entertaining clash between second and tenth in the standings.

On top of this, Bromley managed 3-3 and 1-1 draws with Wealdstone and Halifax on either side of a 3-2 away win at Dorking.

Wealdstone and Chesterfield meet on Tuesday in what could be an interesting match-up between seventh and third in the National League.

The hosts have been in solid form since their 2-0 loss to Barnet in early December, having drawn 3-3 away at Bromley, before beating Maidenhead United 3-2 and also drawing with the latter-mentioned opponent 0-0. Last time out, Wealdstone managed a 3-1 home win over Eastleigh as Nathan Ferguson, Max Kretzschmar and Micah Obiero all got on the scoresheet.

Chesterfield were agonizingly close to pulling off an FA Cup scalp, as they drew 3-3 with West Bromwich Albion at the Technique Stadium on Saturday. The Spireites will be brimming with confidence and will hope to carry on the league form that has seen them win their last three matches against the likes of Scunthorpe United (4-1 and 2-1), as well as Dorking Wanderers (3-1).

Newcastle United and Leicester City go head to head on Tuesday in the quarter-finals of the League Cup, with the hosts coming in as favourites to advance.

Brendan Rodgers’ side did manage to earn a 1-0 win at Priestfield on Saturday against Gillingham as Kelechi Iheanacho scored the only goal of the game.

In League Two, fifth place Bradford City takes on 23rd in the table Rochdale at Valley Parade.

Mark Hughes will be delighted that his side have managed to end their winless run of late, as following 1-0 defeats to Salford City and Carlisle United on either side of a 3-0 loss to Leyton Orient, the Bantams have managed 1-0 and 3-2 victories over Harrogate Town and Salford.

Rochdale’s form has improved slightly, as they have drawn both of their last two matches 1-1 and 0-0 with Newport County and Barrow AFC. Prior to this, Dale had lost their last three matches 4-3, 2-1 and 4-1 to Doncaster Rovers, Hartlepool United and Harrogate.

The final game on this list comes from the Coppa Italia where Inter Milan goes up against Parma.

Inter could only draw 2-2 away at Monza last time out, despite taking the lead twice through goals from Matteo Darmian and Lautaro Martinez. This was after a huge win in midweek against Napoli at the San Siro where Edin Dzeko scored the only goal of the game. Before this, the Nerrazzuri had beaten Atalanta 3-2 and Bologna 6-1.

Parma currently sits sixth in Serie B and have won just one of their last five matches, doing so away at Brescia on 12th December. Before this win, they had lost 1-0 to Benevento and drew 1-1 away at Cagliari. Since then, Parma have been defeated 1-0 at home to SPAL and could only draw 2-2 at Venezia on Boxing Day after taking a two-goal lead following a brace by Franco Vazquez.
