Even More Mo Salah Specials for 2021/22

At present, Salah looks like the most likely candidate to win the PFA Player of the Year for the current season, following the 29-year-old’s blistering start to the campaign for Liverpool. If the Egyptian carries on his current form, then he will break the Premier League’s record for most goals in a season and will undoubtedly help his club challenge for what would be a record-equalling 20th league title.

Meanwhile, Phil Foden has continued his stunning developments at Manchester City this season and even scored a crucial goal for the Sky Blues against Liverpool at Anfield. The 21-year-old has scored three goals and created one assist in five appearances for the Citizens this season in the Premier League, having missed the opening three games of the season due to a foot injury, whilst the other game he didn’t feature in was for fitness reasons in his recovery.

Salah looks firmly on course to be this season’s Premier League Golden Boot winner, which would be the third time that he has achieved this feat, the former Fiorentina man is just 13 goals off Harry Kane’s tally of 23 last campaign, which saw the England and Tottenham Hotspur man win the Golden Boot, meaning that it seems almost inevitable that Salah will win it this time out with there still being 29 games left in the season.

The Egyptian forward is the second top scorer in the Champions League with five goals in three games, just one behind Ajax’s Sebastien Haller having scored braces against FC Porto and Atletico Madrid, as well as a goal against AC Milan on matchday one. With Salah averaging a goal every 48 minutes in Europe’s most elite club competition, there is every chance that Liverpool will go far in this season’s competition as they did when they made back to back finals in 2018 and 2019, meaning that there is a good chance of Salah being the competition’s top scorer.
