F1 Betting Tips - Canadian Grand Prix 2025

After a two week break post the European triple header, the F1 carnival travels across the Atlantic Ocean. Specifically, to Canada and the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Located in Montreal, it's known for its unpredictable weather and "The Wall of Champions", which has ended many top drivers races in the past.

Race Winner Tip

McClaren, as was widely expected at the start of the season, are dominating the season so far - with Piastri and Norris on 186 and 176 points respectively, they are a country mile ahead of 3rd place Verstappen (137 points). They have won 7 of the 9 races so far, and taken the top two spots in three races.

Piastri is now as short as 13/20 in places to win the Drivers' Title this season, but Lando Norris can strike back here at attractive odds of 15/8. He qualified third here last year, just 0.021 behind Russell & Verstappen, and led the race at lap 20. Unfortunately for him, he just missed out on a safety car pit stop, but drove well for the rest of the race to finish third, two places and over six seconds ahead of Piastri.

That performance bodes well for this year's race. Norris could really do with another race win to close the gap back to Piastri after losing 7 points to him last weekend, and this is a great opportunity to make inroads.

Top 10 Finish

Isaac Hadjar started his F1 career off in ignominious fashion; having put in an impressive lap to start 11th in Australia, he spun off on the formation lap. One can only imagine how he felt in the moments after...

Lesser people would have struggled under the pressure, but Hadjar has been arguably the standout rookie since then. His finishing positions have been:

  • China - 11th
  • Japan - 8th
  • Bahrain - 13th
  • Saudi Arabia - 10th
  • Miami - 11th
  • Emilia Romagna - 9th
  • Monaco - 6th
  • Spain - 7th

He has qualified in the top 10 more times than he has missed out of Q3 (five out of nine),

His form certainly hasn't gone unnoticed. Rumours of yet another Red Bull driver switch appeared over the weekend with Hadjar being touted as the next option. He's admitted he "doesn't feel ready" at the moment, but it highlights the superb job he is doing for the junior team.

Canada's emphasis is on braking confidence and adaptability, especially to weather conditions, will suit the Frenchman, and Evens is a great price for him to finish in the Top 10.
