Manchester City will be able to continue the defence of their domestic cup trophies as the FA Cup returns this Saturday, June 27. The Citizens have all but handed the Premier League over to the record-breaking Liverpool, but the EFL Cup is still there's and they are now the favourites to claim the FA Cup is as well.
With odds of 1/3 to reach the final, it's tough to bet against Pep Guardiola's men making the journey to Wembley once more. City do face Newcastle United in the quarter-finals of the competition and remain the clear favourites at 2/11 to advance to the semis. Time will tell on the semi-finals draw, but it does seem as if consecutive finals is on the cards for English serial winners of recent history.
Just behind City is their neighbours, Manchester United at 2/1. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men improved almost immediately when Bruno Fernandes joined and it seems United fans are very positive on a potential 13th FA Cup triumph. The Red Devils face Norwich City in the quarters, where they are the favourites to advance with odds of 8/15.
Elsewhere, despite the pressure from Manchester, there is still hope of a London club to reach the final, as Chelsea boast odds 5/2 to reach the final, while Arsenal sit with a price of 11/4. Chelsea have reached the final seven times since 2000, winning five of them. Now, with Lampard's youthful setup, the Blues are in with a good chance, but they have their work cut out with a quarter-final test against Leicester City first.
As for Arsenal, their horrific record in 2020 doesn't put forth any sort of an argument for a place in the final, but they may fancy their chances against Sheffield United, who have also struggled since the restart.
It's also tough to overlook Leicester in all of this, despite their matchup against Chelsea. The Foxes are 13/8 to advance past Lampard's men, but they are a higher 3/1 to make it to the final. Examining Leicester's chances is a task in itself, with their fight for a Champions League spot not yet finalised, while they could meet one of the Manchester outfits in the next round, where they wouldn't be favoured to advance.
Other hopefuls, Sheffield, Norwich and Newcastle are priced at 5/1, 9/1 and 20/1, respectively, to reach the final. Indeed, it is hard to see the Magpies and Norwich make it, considering they face the two Manchester sides, although, the Blades can't be too far overlooked, as they will fancy their chances against a weak Arsenal team.
