Fantasy Football Tips: Three Transfers to make for Gameweek 37

Latest News

Diogo Jota

Two matchdays remaining...

Fantasy Premier League resumes on Friday night with Everton taking on Burnley at Goodison Park to kick off game week 37's action. Games are spread right across the weekend with it concluding on Monday night at the Etihad Stadium - where Manchester City and Leicester City face off in a huge clash.

There's plenty left to play for all over the table and we're sure thats the same in your #FPL leagues. If any of you have your triple captain, bench boost, free hit or wildcard still available make sure they're used soon - you don't have long left!

Below we've included three of our recommended transfers for the upcoming game week - take a look and tweet your teams into us @FootyAccums!

Defence - Saed Kolasinac v Brighton (H) - £5m

The first selection comes in the form of Arsenal and Bosnia-Herzegovina man Saed Kolasinac. It's been a season of change at the Emirates with Unai Emery coming in to replace the legend that is Arsene Wenger, but one player who's remained virtually an ever-present in team is Kolasinac.

The bruising wing-back is improving defensively game-on-game but where his main strength lies is going forward. His powerful bursts can be very difficult to stop and he's enjoyed a lot of success in particular at the Emirates - where Arsenal have been superb this season.

Saed Kolasinac

The Gunners have won 14 of their 18 games in front of their own supporters, conceding just 15 goals in the process. So you'd expect them to comfortably pick up a result against a Brighton side that's in absolutely abysmal form at the moment. The Seagulls have lost 12 of their 18 games on the road this season - failing to score in their last 3.

Clean sheet points look a real possibility for Kolasinc and with Brighton boasting that horrendous away record, he could also do something at the other end of the pitch. He's managed to record an impressive 7 assists over the course of the campaign and with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in red hot goalscoring form at the moment - we think he's a great shout for your team at £5m.

Midfield - Diogo Jota v Fulham (H) - £6.3m

Taking up the midfield slot is someone who's enjoyed a magnificent debut season in the Premier League - Diogo Jota. The former Atletico Madrid forward made a slow start to life in the top flight but as the campaigns progressed, he's grown in stature. He's played a major role in Wolves' record breaking season - which is their best ever in PL history.

As it stands Nuno Espirito Santo's men are on course to finish in seventh position which would mean a return to Europe via the Europa League - an absolutely magnificent achievement. There's been a number of heroes at Molineux, but one who the fans have really taken to is Jota and it's easy to see why.

Diogo Jota

The 22 year-old has contributed an immensely impressive 17 goals (9G 8A) in the Premier League alone which is a fantastic return. He's struck up a fruitful relationship with strike partner Raul Jimenez and on home soil in particular he's enjoyed himself - netting 7 of his 9 league goals at Molineux.

This weekend his Wolves side take on already relegated Fulham there and the Cottagers are enjoying something of a renaissance under caretaker boss Scott Parker - winning their last 3. But despite this we're expecting a home win and some goals in the process, with the visitors boasting the divisions worst defensive record - which will have Jota licking his lips.

Forward - Sergio Aguero v Leicester City (H) - £11.9m

Our final choice may seem something of an obvious one with him being one of the most expensive players in #FPL, but we think Sergio Aguero is a must for your team this weekend. The Argentine is spearheading Manchester City's title bid and should they win on Monday night, they'll take a huge step towards becoming the first side since Manchester United in 2009 to retain the trophy.

Leicester City are the visitors to the Etihad Stadium to round off the weekends action and it whilst it looks like it could be a tricky game on paper with the Foxes re-born under new boss Brendan Rodgers - they should have enough to come out on top. No side has picked up more points in the Premier League on home soil than Pep Guardiola's men, with the Blues racking up a massive 51 from a possible 54.

Sergio Aguero Manchester City

Key to their success at the Etihad has been City no.10 Aguero, who's netted 20 league goals this season - 15 of which have come on home soil. His performances earned him a spot in the PFA Team of the Year and he's also one of most prolific in terms of points in #FPL this season - racking up a massive 193.

No attacker has accumulated more points than the City man and Leicester are a side that he enjoys facing - netting 5 goals in 6 meetings with the Foxes. Monday's fixture is a massive one in the race for the title and Aguero is a man who always steps up on the biggest occasion, so he's certainly a candidate to be your captain.
