Liverpool v Leeds Betting Tips - Liverpool to win to nil

Liverpool kick off their title defence against a newly promoted Leeds side that return to the Premier League following a 16-year absence from the top flight and Marcelo Bielsa's side smell blood.

As for Liverpool, having done so well last season, they will aim to hit the ground running as if they never stopped so the odds are firmly in their favour to land a third consecutive opening day win.

Having had so much success from the back line last season with the defensive ability of Virgil van Dijk and the full backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson accumulating 27 assists between them, it seems like it is set to become more of the same heading into the new season. Odds currently stand at 6/5 for the Reds to win with a clean sheet at Anfield on the opening day against Leeds.

Fulham v Arsenal Betting Tips - Arsenal to win 3-0, 3-1 or 3-2

Fulham, just like Leeds, are another newly promoted side that have been dealt with a very difficult opening day fixture, this time at the hands of Arsenal whom they have not beaten since January 2012.

Two seasons ago when Fulham made a brief appearance in the top flight, Arsenal dished out two thrashings home and away with an aggregate scoreline of 9-2. The Cottagers' Achilles heel two years ago was that their defence was not ready for the Premier League and the visit of Arsenal on the opening day is a huge test and it might be a game where they will focus on trying to limit the damage rather than seeing if they can pull off an upset.

The Gunners are undoubted favourites for the match and odds of a 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2 win for the away side currently stand at 4/1 - click here to claim this bet.

Spurs v Everton - Spurs to win by one goal

A very interesting opening day game will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium between two sides that have been ever-present in the Premier League since its incarnation.

As for the managers, Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancellotti, this will be the start of their first full season at the respective clubs for the two former Chelsea bosses. Interestingly both sides saw a vast improvement to their position in the league following their arrivals at their respective clubs so the two sides have had a similar 2020 to each other.

On paper, Tottenham are certainly the bigger club with the better players but Everton are capable of conjuring up a few surprises in a season and will be a very tough opponent to face on the opening day. On that basis, we could see a typical Jose Mourinho tactical performance; take the lead and park as many double-deckers as is possible.

Odds currently stand at 11/4 for Spurs to take the three points by one goal over Everton - claim this bet right here and have it straight in your bet slip.

West Brom v Leicester betting tips - Foxes to win from behind

Slaven Bilic has brought West Brom back to the big time following a two-year absence.

The Baggies will surely be hoping that Leicester's poor form they suffered from at the end of last season will carry over into the new season; the form that saw the Foxes go from almost certain Champions League qualification to outside of the top four.

West Brom, meanwhile, have a number of players with Premier League experience within their ranks like Charlie Austin, Hal Robson-Kanu and Kamil Grosicki and this experience can prove to be crucial in getting the requisite results to stay up in the Premier League. Regarding their opening day clash with Leicester, these are the sort of matches that newly promoted teams will look to play fairly defensive football and then sit back if they take the lead.

Something that Bilic will need to be wary of is that Leicester picked up an impressive 13 points from losing positions last season and the Foxes have odds of 9/1 to win the match after going behind.

West Ham v Newcastle betting tips - Magpies to win and BTTS

Two sides that might not play the most entertaining football but two of the last three results in this fixture at the London Stadium have finished in 3-2 wins for Newcastle.

Prior to the takeover at Newcastle falling through, fans were hoping that this could be a season where they finally do not have to look over their shoulders at the relegation zone (if they were not in it of course). Instead it looks like the Magpies will be serving another season under the power of Mike Ashley. However, Steve Bruce did manage to exceed expectations last season, finishing a respectable 13th place and did not become embroiled in a relegation scrap.

As for West Ham, despite being in his second spell as manager of the club, David Moyes will finally have the opportunity to experience a first full season at the London Stadium. The Scottish manager will be hoping to lead the club away from the relegation scrap they had last season and so on the opening day, two teams with similar expectations for the season will be going head to head.

Whilst another 3-2 scoreline, as we have often seen in this fixture of late, will be fairly difficult to come by, the odds suggest that a Newcastle win with both teams to score in this fixture is a more realistic prospect and the odds stand at 11/2 for that to happen.
