13:50 - Sandown - Organise

The ITV action on Friday kicks off with a competitive edition of the Esher Cup Handicap. John & Thady Gosden trained the winner 12 months ago, and they have a red-hot chance for a second straight win.

Despite looking green a furlong from home, Organise was a striking winner on return at York earlier this month, beating Weheedd by just under two lengths.

Looks very progressive after winning on both career starts. Yard in excellent form, and James Doyle retains the partnership.

14:05 - Perth - Busty Boy

The ITV cameras are also at Perth on Friday, with the first jumps action coming over a marathon trip in the Highland National Handicap Chase.

Sean Bowen will be crowned Champion Jockey on Saturday, and his celebrations could start early aboard Busty Boy, who has looked mapped out for this since finishing second 12 months ago. Has run credibly over inadequate distances so far this season, including with Bowen aboard for the first time last month at Bangor when third of eleven.

Step back up in trip is a massive plus, and he is expected to get his ground conditions.

14:25 - Sandown - Almeric

The Group Three Gordon Richards Stakes is next up at Sandown, with a high-quality field of five set to go to post.

Almeric looks like a runner to keep tabs on this year for Andrew Balding after being forced to bypass much of last summer due to a setback. However, he returned impressively in September over a mile and two, beating the talented King’s Gambit by two lengths in the Doonside Cup Stakes.

No match for Calandagan in the Group One Champion Stakes following that, but this drop back in grade ensures a sound starting spot for this term.

14:40 - Perth - Jukebox Fury

A wide open handicap hurdle over an extended three miles and two is up next from Perth.

The lightly raced Jukebox Fury is an interesting contender at a bigger price for the in-form Nicky Henderson team. The seven-year-old has won twice from four starts over obstacles, and he made his belated return last month after a year off the track with a credible fourth at Ffos Las.

Steps back up in trip today, and was a two-time winner on good ground over three miles and further at Doncaster and Wetherby before his time off track.

15:00 - Sandown - Zeus Olympios

An early treat for flat fans this season comes in the form of the high-quality Group Two bet365 Mile.

Field Of Gold makes his return to the track, but Zeus Olympios could be one of the emerging players in the division to keep tabs on. The Karl Burke team has been in excellent form, striking at 28%, and Ryan Moore is booked to ride. The four-year-old has won on all three starts over a mile, oozing class on his final start in 2025 when easily beating Opera Ballo in the Group Two Joel Stakes.

Should be stronger during his four-year-old campaign, and could be set to make an impression against significant milers from last term.

15:35 - Sandown - Al Zanati

Clues ahead of the Derby can be found in the Group 3 Classic Trial. Action heads the betting for the Aidan O’Brien team, but Al Zanati could be a better value play for the in-form Charlie Appleby yard.

The three-year-old needed every yard of the mile and one furlong to see off Bourbon Blues in the Group Three Thomas Byron last time in France, and he has form lines that mix in with some of the best milers this season, finishing a close second behind Hankelow in the Group Three Autumn Stakes when racing freely. Yard won this in 2024.
