ITV Racing Tips – Friday 5th June 2026 Best Bets for Epsom

ITV coverage of the Group One Oaks comes live from Epsom on Friday, 5th June, 2026. Six races in total will be broadcast from the track this week, with the action headlined by the Classic for the three-year-old fillies.

We have gone through all televised races on Friday, picking out ITV horse racing tips, and an accumulator for ITV racing.

13:30 - Epsom - Hamney Girl

The ITV coverage of the Oaks kicks off with a fast and furious five-furlong Dash Handicap. Hamney Girl could benefit from a low draw for the Tim Easterby yard, with David Allan back in the saddle.

The filly ran well for a long way when third at Haydock at the end of last month. The three-year-old is a two-time winner on the turf, with both starts coming last summer.

Looks to be still improving, and carries a light weight on Friday. Set to run a big race at an each-way price.

14:05 - Epsom - Possessive

Juveniles will be in action in the Woodcote Stakes. Karl Burke typically enjoys success with his two-year-olds, and Possessive could be hard to beat.

The selection is by Lucky Vega, who was high-class as a juvenile, winning the Group One Phoenix Stakes and finishing second in the Group One Middle Park.

Possessive showed plenty of ability on debut at York, finishing a length clear of Stardom Glory, and two lengths ahead of the highly-regarded Cuban Heels.

14:40 - Epsom - Seagulls Eleven

Next up is the Group Three Diomed Stakes. Persica won this race 12 months ago, but Seagulls Eleven could be the improver in the field.

The Hugo Palmer yard is in excellent recent form, and the selection was an excellent winner over a mile in the Listed Prix de Montretout at the end of last month. Has caught the eye on both starts over a mile this season, excelling since being stepped back up in trip.

Oisin Murphy takes over in the saddle, previously being aboard the selection when winning the Group Three Bonhams Stakes. Plenty to like.

15:15 - Epsom - Sallaal

The Nifty50 Handicap is Epsom’s next race, run over a mile and two. Sallaal looks like a winner in waiting for the Roger Varian yard.

The four-year-old has won three from seven career starts, and looked to handle Epsom last time when narrowly beaten on his return after a 191-day break. That was his first start after being gelded, and he will likely improve for the run.

The manner of his finishing effort last time suggests that a win is sure to come sooner rather than later. Stays this trip well, and the form of his win over English Oak at Hamilton last July is strong.

16:00 - Epsom - Thundering On

The feature on Friday is the Group One Oaks, run over a mile and four. Favourites have a weak record in the race, winning just two of the last 12 editions.

Horses that placed on their previous effort have won eleven of the last 12. Frankel has produced three previous Oaks winners (Anapuma, Soul Sister, Minnie Hauk). Therefore, the progressive Thundering On could be a value play.

The three-year-old won strikingly on her step up in trip, easily swatting aside the talented Emmeleia by over three lengths in the Group Three Salsabil Stakes.

The same prep produced the 2024 Oaks winner Ezeliya. Proven on softer ground, and that could be a key benefit. Lots to like.

16:40 - Epsom - Asmen Warrior

ITV’s coverage rounds off with a competitive handicap over a mile. Asmen Warrior could be of interest in first-time blinkers.

The four-year-old handled Epsom earlier in the season, finishing third when hanging left in the closing stages. The application of headgear should focus the Saxon Warrior gelding. Clearly in excellent form after a strong second behind Antipodes at Windsor last time.

Has hit the post on a number of occasions since joining the James Owen yard, including runner-up finishes in four handicaps. Solid contender on these terms.
