ITV Racing Accumulator Tip

Our acca for Saturday's ITV coverage includes a selection in the Grade One Fighting Fifth Hurdle from Newcastle. Back this 3-leg ITV accumulator for Saturday:

  1. Constitution Hill - 14:00 - Newcastle
  2. Deafening Silence - 15:15 - Newcastle
  3. Javert Allen - 15:35 - Newbury

13:40 - Newbury - East India Express

ITV’s coverage on Saturday kicks off with a handicap hurdle over an extended two miles and four. Plenty have leading chances, including recent winners French Ship and Lud’or.

However, Nicky Henderson-trained East India Express could be running off a handy mark. The six-year-old is still unexposed, but will need to bounce back after being pulled up at Newbury on his latest start.

However, a return to this weekend’s ground and trip could unlock his potential, with Freddie Gordon booked to take the ride.

14:00 - Newcastle - Constitution Hill

Next up is the big race of the day, as three of the top five in the ante-post betting for the Champion Hurdle collide in the Grade One Fighting Fifth.

The New Lion is the up-and-comer, but it could pay to go with the heart over head. Constitution Hill will have major questions to answer following three poor showings at the end of last season.

However, Henderson and Nico De Boinville have been bullish about his chances. The eight-year-old also goes well fresh, and he could re-establish his place at the top table on Saturday.

14:15 - Newbury - Viyanni

Viyanni looks like an incredibly unexposed runner in the 14:15 at Newbury on Saturday.

Harry Derham’s yard has been among the winners recently, and the four-year-old goes well fresh after winning on his seasonal return last December.

Excels over this trip, and has won twice from three starts over hurdles, with his only defeat coming when six lengths behind the hugely talented Lulamba at Ascot. Interesting for a yard among the winners.

14:55 - Newbury - O’Moore Park

Newbury’s feature is due off at 14:55, with a maximum field of 24 runners going to post for the Coral Gold Cup Handicap Chase.

Willie Mullins-trained O’Moore Park could be an interesting runner at the weights, with Sean O’Keefe booked to take the ride.

The eight-year-old has a run under his belt after finishing second in a Beginners’ Chase at Galway in October.

He steps back up to three miles after travelling well for a long way in the Bet365 Gold Cup Chase at Sandown in April. Has shown plenty of ability, and could be handicapped to go close at a big price this weekend.

15:15 - Newcastle - Deafening Silence

Dan and Harry Skelton team up with Deafening Silence in the Rehearsal Handicap Chase on Saturday.

The eight-year-old has shown plenty of scope over fences, winning once from five starts over the bigger obstacles.

He stays three miles very strongly, and goes well fresh after winning at the start of December in 2023, before finishing an excellent third in the Graduation Chase on his return last season. Ticks plenty of boxes, and looks set for a big season in handicaps.

15:35 - Newbury - Javert Allen

ITV’s coverage on Saturday rounds off with a competitive handicap over an extended two miles.

Javert Allen should still be ahead of the handicapper after performing well in big races throughout last season.

Wasn’t beaten far by Mambonumberfive at Aintree on his return earlier this month, and excels on good to soft ground over two miles. Should be tuned up for this weekend’s race following a return run.
