We have gone through all televised races on Saturday, picking out ITV horse racing tips, and an accumulator for ITV racing.

13:50 - Sandown - Shagraan

The ITV coverage on Saturday kicks off with a competitive renewal of the Group Three Coral Charge. Shagraan could be a value play for the Clive Cox team from a low draw.

The yard has been in excellent recent form, but the selection’s last two efforts at Royal Ascot and Haydock will need to be overlooked. The Sioux Nation colt was solid on return when beaten just three lengths by Night Raider at Newmarket, and a return to Sandown could spark him back to life.

Shagraan has run big races on both previous starts at the track, finishing a close third behind Rumstar in this race 12 months ago, and also finishing within a length of Equity Law in a handicap in 2024.

14:05 - Newmarket - Arc Ole Ole

Racing from Newmarket is also covered on ITV this Saturday, beginning with a handicap over a mile and six.

Arc Ole Ole is a horse that I really like, and despite his two-race winning run coming to an end at Royal Ascot, he lost little in defeat, finishing a very credible fifth and just three lengths behind the eventual winner.

The Dylan Cunha runner has previous experience at Newmarket, finishing fifth on debut at the track, but he has grown into an excellent handicapper, and this step up in trip should bring out further improvement on these terms.

14:25 - Sandown - River King

A handicap over a mile at Sandown is next up on ITV this weekend. River King has been a revelation for the Richard Hannon yard since being gelded last July.

Since then, he returned to action with a narrow defeat at Chepstow over a mile and two, before showing plenty of ability when winning over a mile at Newbury at the start of June.

Dropped back down to seven furlongs on his latest effort, and finished best of his side when fifth in the Buckingham Palace Stakes. Still looks to be on a workable mark, and could be very competitive from a low draw this weekend.

14:40 - Newmarket - Tiffany

The Group Two Lancashire Oaks is up next from Newmarket. Tiffany has been an extremely frustrating horse to follow, but she could be set to make a positive impact in first-time headgear this weekend.

The six-year-old has finished second on her last four starts, including when travelling much the best before being beaten a short neck in a listed race in France.

The Sir Mark Prescott runner should be sharper with the visor, and is versatile on all ground over this distance.

15:00 - Sandown - Secret Of Life

Sandown’s next race is the Listed Coral Distaff. Plenty will have interesting claims, but the progressive Secret Of Life is the play.

The three-year-old for Ralph Beckett has been striking on back-to-back starts at Wolverhampton and Haydock, winning with plenty in hand on both occasions. Rossa Ryan retains the ride following a three-length success at the latter of the courses at the end of May.

The filly will face quicker ground this weekend, but the daughter of Pinatubo should still be improving, and the pedigree suggests that she will get a mile.

15:15 - Newmarket - Klassleader

The final race from Newmarket on Saturday is the Old Newton Cup Handicap.

Klassleader made a striking impression on his return to action for the William Haggas yard, easing clear of the field at York in mid-May to win by over two lengths. Has seemingly developed as a four-year-old, and still looks to have plenty in hand on the handicap.

Tom Marquand retains the ride, and Haggas remains in excellent form. Lots to like, and bigger targets await later in the season.

15:35 - Sandown - Constitution River

The featured race on Saturday is the Group One Coral-Eclipse. Aidan O’Brien has dominated this race in recent years, winning each of the last three and four of the previous five.

Constitution River is the obvious play, as he holds the form edge on a number of re-appearing rivals after landing the Group One Prix du Jockey Club in France in late May.

There are no ground concerns, and he has looked extremely talented since breaking his maiden at the second attempt. His case is only strengthened by the fact that three-year-olds have won the last five editions. Ticks every box.
