13:50 - Sandown - Laguna Beach

The first of seven races on ITV this Saturday is a Novices’ Handicap Hurdle over two miles and four at Sandown.

Laguna Beach has looked very progressive for the in-form Nicky Henderson stable, most recently finishing second over an extended two miles and five at Ascot.

Nico De Boinville is back aboard, just as he was when the selection won at Hereford in December. Has plenty more to offer in handicaps.

14:05 - Wolverhampton - Knebworth

Action from Wolverhampton is also covered on ITV this weekend, beginning with a handicap over six furlongs.

Knebworth represents the Richard Hughes stable, with Billy Loughnane booked to take the ride. The six-year-old has a solid strike-rate on the all-weather, winning four from 12 starts, which includes a recent win over six furlongs at Chelmsford.

Should be capable of another strong showing on his second start after a break.

14:27 - Sandown - Afadil

The big betting race of the day comes in the form of the Imperial Cup Handicap Hurdle.

Mondo Man should be respected at the top of the betting, but Afadil looks like a solid each-way angle for the Paul Nicholls team. The seven-year-old ran to form last time when a close second behind Star Of Guiting at Musselburgh, and will be suited by this sharp two miles.

Looks to be on a useful mark, and shouldn’t be far away now back in form.

14:42 - Wolverhampton - Kingdom Come

Clive Cox is currently striking at 75% over the last two weeks, and he could have a leading hope to maintain that red-hot form in the second race from Wolverhampton.

Kingdom Come is the only previous course and distance winner in the field, and the seven-year-old showed plenty of commitment on his return to action when scoring by a narrow margin from Popmaster at Kempton last month.

Going back up in trip will suit, and his record at Wolves is a clear plus.

15:00 - Sandown - Burds Of A Feather

Burds Of A Feather looks to be the most exciting contender in the third race from Sandown, for the in-form Max Compley yard.

She made a striking impression in a Mares Bumper last time, winning easily by 19 lengths from Sparkling Water.

Previously won a point-to-point, and should stay further over time. This step up in class can be taken in her stride.

15:15 - Wolverhampton - Marshman

Karl Burke should have a leading chance in the Listed Lady Wulfruna Stakes from Wolverhampton.

The six-year-old has a comeback run under his belt after finishing fifth in the Listed Kachy Stakes at Lingfield.

He has a reliable record on the all-weather, winning twice from six starts, and only finishing outside of the first three on one occasion. Shapes as though seven furlongs should suit, so the step-up in trip is a plus.

15:35 - Sandown - Welcom To Cartries

Paul Nicholls could round off the ITV coverage with a winner in a competitive handicap over three miles.

Welcom To Cartries has always threatened to show signs over the trip, including when winning by a head over course and distance in early December.

Didn’t appear suited by the round last time at Ascot when pulled-up. A return to Sandown could signal a return to form, and looks like a leading chance with Harry Cobden aboard.
