This is Panama’s second ever appearance in the Copa America after their appearance at the Centenario edition of the competition back in 2016. There Panama managed just one win and two losses as they crashed out at the Group stage.

The US currently sit second in Group C after their opening win over Bolivia. This leaves the US equal with Uruguay but behind on goals scored and three points above Panama and Bolivia.

This will be the US’ fifth appearance in the Copa America and second time hosting the competition. The Stars and Stripes have a mixed record in the tournament with two Group stage exits and two Fourth place finishes.
