Friday ITV Racing Tips - 24th October 2025

13:15 - Cheltenham - French Ship

The jumps are back on ITV this weekend, and a competitive handicap over two miles and four furlongs kicks off the action from Cheltenham.

French Ship could be an interesting angle for the in-form rider Ben Jones. The five-year-old travelled very strongly in the Silver Trophy Handicap at Chepstow earlier this month before stumbling three from home.

Runs off the same mark at Cheltenham on Friday, and should be capable of landing a handicap of this nature with a fitness edge over a number of rivals.

13:33 - Doncaster - Korker

Flat action is also covered from Doncaster on ITV this Friday. Korker could be an interesting contender in the handicap at 13:33, with Jack Nicholls taking off 5lb.

The six-year-old has run in hot races throughout the season, and plenty of positives could have been taken from his close third behind Binhareer at York earlier this month.

Any rain would be a major benefit to the selection’s chances this week, as his best form has come on soft and heavy.

13:50 - Cheltenham - King Of Kingsfield

Gordon Elliott sends King Of Kingsfield to Cheltenham for the Chasing Excellence Novices’ Chase this week.

The seven-year-old was largely used as a pacemaker for Brighterdaysahead over hurdles last season, but he has already made a bright start to life over the larger obstacles.

He has won three from five over fences, and was last seen beating Birdie Of Bust by a comfortable two-length margin in the Grade Three Novice Chase at Punchestown.

Should have a fitness advantage over this field, and Jack Kennedy travels over to take the ride.

14:08 - Doncaster - Infraad

A potentially informative Maiden Stakes at Doncaster is due off at 14:08, with heavy ground expected to await the field of five runners. Infraad could be the runner of note for the in-form William Haggas stable.

Cieren Fallon is booked to take the ride on the unraced colt, who is from a family with plenty of soft/heavy ground form. Should be an interesting runner on his racecourse debut.

14:25 - Cheltenham - Cavern Club

In-form James Owen could have success at Cheltenham on Friday, as Cavern Club could still be a very well-handicapped runner now going back over obstacles.

The five-year-old has been kept busy throughout the summer, including when landing success over two miles on the flat at Chester and over hurdles at Market Rasen.

He should be tuned up for a big run in this race after finishing a close fourth behind Saligo Bay at Market Rasen at the end of last month.

Has some solid Cheltenham form in the book, finishing second over course and distance last November.

15:00 - Cheltenham - Sir Galahad

Grade Two action headlines the card at Cheltenham on Friday, with a field of 12 set to go to post for the Oddschecker Novices’ Hurdle.

Fortune De Mer could still be improving, but the preference is for Sir Galahad for the in-form combination of Sean Bowen and Olly Murphy.

The four-year-old has won four from six starts under rules, and was last seen impressively finishing second behind Saligo Bay at Market Rasen.

Racked up a sequence of four wins between March and June, and will likely come on from his return to action last month. Top rated in this field, and carries 1lb less than the market leaders.

15:18 - Doncaster - First Ambition

A competitive handicap over seven furlongs is due off at 15:18. First Ambition could be incredibly well-handicapped for the Karl Burke team.

The lightly raced four-year-old has won two from three career starts, and he held his own on turf debut last month when second behind Fondo Blanco. Will enjoy dropping back in trip this week, and he is bred to relish the underfoot conditions.

15:35 - Cheltenham - Jasko Des Dames

Henry De Bromhead sends one runner to Cheltenham on Friday, and Jasko Des Dames could be an interesting angle on his second start following a break.

The six-year-old returned to action with an excellent second over an extended two miles and one at Listowel, jumping fluently before being outstayed by Bythesametoken.

He should strip fitter following that effort, and a return to Cheltenham is no negative.

The selection was fifth in the Grand Annual at the Festival in March, finishing just seven lengths behind Jazzy Matty. Darragh O’Keefe travels over to take the ride.
