Saturday ITV Racing Tips - 12th July 2025

13:40 - Newmarket - Orion’s Belt

Super Saturday gets underway with a Maiden Fillies’ Stakes over seven furlongs at Newmarket.

Snow Light is a fascinating debutant for the Charlie Appleby yard, but experience could mean Orion’s Belt could be worth chancing.

The two-year-old was a beaten favourite on debut at Salisbury over six furlongs last month, but goes up in trip and now has the services of Ryan Moore.

14:00 - York - Remmooz

The action from York kicks off with a tricky handicap on Saturday, but Remmooz could have plenty going in his favour now upped to a mile.

The three-year-old gets weight off all of his rivals. The Owen Burrows runner was last seen finishing fourth in the Group Three Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot, but he still holds potential at that level. Could be chucked in off this opening mark.

14:12 - Newmarket - Bountiful

George Boughey-trained Bountiful could benefit from dropping back in trip this weekend after appearing to fail staying over a mile at Royal Ascot last month.

The yard is in excellent form, and Billy Loughnane is booked to take the ride. Clear positives that seven furlongs could be the making of her after winning impressively over six furlongs on quick ground at Carlisle in June. An each-way chance.

14:22 - Ascot - Prague

Prague could be the interesting contender in the Group Two Summer Mile Stakes on Saturday.

Dylan Cunha’s runner was fifth of eight in Group Three company over seven furlongs last time, but has proven ability over a mile after winning the Group Two Joel Stakes last September.

The ground would be the only concern, but he was only narrowly beaten on good in Group Three company at Haydock last year. Should be tuned up for this after his return last month.

14:35 - York - Jm Jungle

Jm Jungle has plenty going for him in the City Walls Stakes at York on Saturday.

The five-year-old was only narrowly touched off over course and distance last month, but he remains in excellent form.

He has run some creditable races in defeat already this season, including when within a length of the well-handicapped American Affair at York over five furlongs in May. Yard in form, and likely to give a bold showing once again.

14:50 - Newmarket - More Thunder

Tom Marquand and William Haggas team up with More Thunder in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket on Saturday.

The four-year-old was a winner over a mile and two last season, but has thrived over the shorter trip of six furlongs this year. Has won twice from three starts over six furlongs, with both wins coming on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket.

Finished very strongly when taking second in the Wokingham at Ascot last month when beaten a head by Get It, and is 3lb well-in. Ticks all the right boxes.

15:10 - York - Naqeeb

Julie Camacho’s runners are in red-hot form at present, meaning a chance could be taken on Naqeeb in the John Smith’s Handicap.

Kevin Stott is booked to take the ride on the five-year-old, who was narrowly beaten by Ethical Diamond when running a huge race, taking third in the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Dropping back in trip could unlock more, and he is handicapped to go close based on his efforts this season.

15:25 - Newmarket - Bedouin Prince

Charlie Appleby has landed this race on four occasions since 2018, and Bedouin Prince could maintain the yard’s strong record.

The three-year-old has been professional on his last two starts, including when scoring on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket in May when beating Wicked by nearly five lengths.

He has a progressive profile, and that indicates that there could still be more to come.

15:45 - York - Tabletalk

Tom Clover’s progressive Tabletalk could be the standout contender in the Group Three John Smith’s Silver Cup Stakes.

The selection has little to find on official ratings with Al Qareem, and he should improve now back up to a mile and six after finishing a respectable sixth of 12 in the Group Two Hardwicke Stakes.

He already has a win over course and distance to his name after landing the Melrose Handicap on quick ground last season.

16:00 - Newmarket - Italy

Aidan O’Brien saddles Italy in the Group Two Superlative Stakes on Saturday, and the two-year-old could be difficult to beat if more professional than on his debut.

Despite looking green at Leopardstown, the son of Wooton Bassett still knuckled down quickly to ease to victory, beating Thesecretadversary by just under a length.

Promises to be more to come, and the strength of that Irish form looks rock-solid on paper in comparison with many of his rivals.

16:10 - Ascot - Night Breeze

Ian Williams-trained Night Breeze could be worth chancing in a red-hot handicap at Ascot at 16:10.

The five-year-old was excellent over course and distance on quick ground earlier this season when easily putting three lengths between himself and Ocean Of Dreams.

Has been underwhelming on two starts since, but a return to a quicker surface and Ascot could ensure that he provides value in the betting.

16:35 - Newmarket - Believing

The feature on Super Saturday comes in the form of the Group One July Stakes. An interesting renewal of the race sees many having leading claims, but it could be best to forgive Believing’s effort in the Group One King Charles III Stakes last time out.

The five-year-old had excuses after being on the wrong side of the track, but she remains of huge interest based on her excellent back form.

That includes place finishes at Group One level behind Bradsell in both the Group One Flying Five and Group One Nunthorpe.

Was a winner in Group One company earlier this year at Meydan over six furlongs, and the quicker ground will suit.
