Saturday ITV Racing Tips - 6th September 2025

13:15 - Haydock - Prague

Prague could kick off the day with a winning start for trainer Dylan Cunha. Kieran Shoemark will be aboard the five-year-old, who holds the best RPR in the race.

He has been competitive over a mile on his last two starts, including when beaten just three lengths by Make Me King at Pontefract.

Held pretty high company throughout last season, and is only just getting back up to speed. Posted a career-best effort over course and distance when narrowly denied in this race 12 months ago.

13:35 - Kempton - Kalpana

Group Three action kicks off the Kempton card on Saturday, and Kalpana should be extremely difficult to beat in the September Stakes.

The Andrew Balding filly has been autumn targets, including a date in the Arc at the start of next month. Boasts the best form lines in this race, beaten just a length by Calandagan in the Group One King George and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

Should have far too much class for this field, and would be a big disappointment if she doesn’t gain the win.

13:50 - Haydock - Midnight Tango

Ed Walker’s Midnight Tango is interesting in the Listed Ascendant Stakes.

The two-year-old has held her form throughout the season, and hasn’t been beaten far in top-class company on her last three starts.

Most recent of those saw her come up just short against Dance To The Music at Newmarket. Up to a mile should suit her chances, and she’s not without a chance on the weight balance this weekend.

14:05 - Kempton - Sky Safari

Sky Safari still looks like a very well handicapped horse for the in-form James Fanshawe yard.

The four-year-old filly has won on all three starts on the all-weather, including over course and distance at the start of July.

She’s back from a break this weekend, and Oisin Murphy is a notable booking. Looks likely to be thereabouts on all available form lines.

14:25 - Haydock - Way Of Stars

Andrew Balding-trained Way Of Stars could be well-handicapped in the 14:25 at Haydock.

Tom Marquand is aboard the three-year-old, who was only beaten two lengths by Pole Star over course and distance at the start of July.

The gelding already has proven stamina on his side after winning over the same trip at Goodwood in June, and he should be capable of laying down a challenge this weekend at a big price.

14:40 - Ascot - Native Warrior

Ascot joins the ITV party at 14:40, and a competitive handicap is due off.

Native Warrior looks to have a big pot in him for the Karl Burke team, and was only narrowly beaten by Great Acclaim at Goodwood over seven furlongs last time.

The gelding stays this trip well, and he shouldn’t be fazed by being back at Ascot after finishing a close third in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot last year.

15:00 - Haydock - The Reverend

Tom Marquand and William Haggas join forces with The Reverend at Haydock in the 15:00.

The four-year-old has won three form eight career starts on the turf, including most recently when scoring by a dominant four lengths at Ripon.

That success was on soft ground, but he should be capable of performing at that lofty standard on today’s surface. Should be difficult to beat.

15:15 - Ascot - Tennability

Tennability has looked to be a horse heading in the right direction throughout the second half of this season.

The William Haggas-trained runner has clocked up a quick hat-trick since the start of June, and was a course and distance winner in impressive fashion on his last two starts.

Cieren Fallon already has a win under his belt with the winning selection, and that bodes well.

15:35 - Haydock - Time For Sandals

The Group One Sprint Cup Stakes headlines the card at Haydock on Saturday.

Time For Sandals could be the value play based on the weights for trainer Harry Eustace.

The three-year-old filly was an excellent winner over six furlongs in the Group One Commonwealth Cup, and has only narrowly been denied in both the Group Three Prix Texanita and Group Two King George Qatar Stakes. Back at six furlongs suits her chances, and she isn’t likely to be far away.
