12:55 - Aintree - Kyntara

A bumper day of ITV coverage kicks off at Aintree with a Pertemps Hurdle Series Qualifier over an extended three miles.

Kyntara goes back over hurdles for trainer Mel Rowley, and the nine-year-old could be on a good mark based on his efforts during the 2023-24 season.

He was second behind Monmiral over three miles in the Pertemps Final in March 2024, and he typically goes well fresh. Won on return in November 2023 at Lingfield, and was a previous course and distance winner at Aintree in December 2023.

13:10 - Wincanton - Nickelforce

Ben Case-trained Nickelforce should be well-handicapped to go close in ITV’s opening race from Wincanton on Saturday.

The six-year-old has been busy throughout the summer, finishing second on his last two starts at Kelson and Market Rasen.

He was last seen finishing second behind Sure Touch at the latter, but he will have a fitness advantage this weekend. Likely to go close based on the ratings.

13:25 - Doncaster - Art Power

Flat action is also covered this weekend, with the 13:25 at Doncaster being run over six furlongs.

Art Power has got his desired soft ground this weekend, and he could be set to fire for Tim Easterby.

He was a winner over six furlongs in late September at the Curragh to land Group Three honours, taking his record over this weekend’s trip on soft ground to three wins in four starts.

13:45 - Wincanton - Jubilee Alpha

Jubilee Alpha could be very challenging to oppose in the Paul & Richard Barber Memorial Mares’ Handicap Hurdle.

The six-year-old for Paul Nicholls has won three from five starts over hurdles, including when last seen at Cheltenham in April, when holding off La Pinsonniere by nearly two lengths.

She goes well fresh, and she should relish this stamina test on her preferred ground. Ratings leave the rest of the field with plenty to find.

14:23 - Wincanton - Blueking d’Oroux

The Grade Two Rising Stars Novices’ Chase is set for Wincanton on Saturday, with a field of five set to go to post.

There would be huge disappointment if Blueking d’Oroux isn’t able to get the job done for Paul Nicholls on his second start this season.

The six-year-old has plenty in hand over this field based on ratings, and was the winner of the Grade Three Select Hurdle at Sandown at the end of last season. Disappointed on his return, but should make amends.

14:40 - Aintree - Our Power

A first look at horses over the Grand National fences this season, as the Grand Sefton Chase is staged at Aintree on Saturday.

Our Power for the in-form combination of Sam Thomas and Dylan Johnston could be an interesting play. The ten-year-old has won four from 14 starts over fences. He was last seen finishing third in the Scottish National in April.

Our Power has experience of the National fences after finishing eleventh in the big race at Aintree in 2023. The drop back in trip is a concern, but his last two wins have come over three miles, and he will be staying on better than most in the closing stages.

14:55 - Wincanton - Rubaud

A far from vintage renewal of the Grade Two Elite Hurdle is set for 14:55 on Saturday.

Rubaud will be a very short price, but the Paul Nicholls charge is incredibly hard to oppose based on the form available. The seven-year-old has won nine from 16 starts over hurdles, and was an excellent winner on reappearance when landing the CopyBet Hurdle by a length from Burdett Road last month.

Excels over this trip, and looks like good value to win this race for the third straight year.

15:10 - Doncaster - Danielle

The Listed Gillies Fillies’ Stakes is due off at 15:10, and Danielle should relish this drop down in grade.

The John & Thady Gosden runner was last seen finishing fifth behind Kalpana in the Group One British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot.

Danielle has been the nearly horse throughout this year, finishing second on three of her last five starts. However, she has plenty in her favour this weekend, and James Doyle is aboard.

15:30 - Wincanton - Credo

The big race of the day comes in the form of the Badger Beers Handicap Chase. Art Of Diplomacy and Credo are the two standouts, with the latter being the preference.

The Anthony Honeyball yard is in excellent form, and the ten-year-old typically saves his best runs for Wincanton. Was a winner on reappearance in 2023, winning over fences at the track over three miles and two.

Good ground shouldn’t impact his chances negatively after winning on fast ground in Carlisle over an extended three miles earlier this year. Is likely to give a bold showing.

15:45 - Doncaster - Master Builder

ITV’s coverage on Saturday rounds off with the November Handicap at Doncaster.

A big field sees plenty have leading chances, but the preference is for the well-drawn Master Builder for trainer David Menuisier. The four-year-old has won twice from eleven starts on the turf, and he should enjoy dropping back in trip after finishing tenth at Newbury over an extended mile and five in September.

Was 18th in the race last year, enduring a poor draw. Runs off 2lb lower this weekend, and should be an each-way chance.
