Sunday ITV Racing Tips - 14th September 2025

14:30 - Doncaster - Indian Springs

The City of Doncaster Handicap kicks off the final day of ITV coverage from Doncaster, and Indian Springs should be difficult to beat for the Charlie Appleby team.

The three-year-old has been a clear cut winner on his last two starts, including when pulling four lengths clear of Grey Jaguar at Haydock in July. He looks extremely unexposed now, dropped into a handicap.

14:40 - Curragh - Beautify

ITV also covers action from the Curragh on Sunday, beginning with the Group One Moyglare Stakes.

Aidan O’Brien’s Beautify could be an interesting alternative to the favourite, with Dylan Browne McMonagle booked to take the ride. The two-year-old already has strong form to her name, which included a notable two-length success over subsequent Group Three Molecomb winner, Lady Iman, over six furlongs in June.

Should still be improving and a likely sort to improve over seven furlongs.

15:00 - Doncaster - Akkadian Thunder

Akadian Thunder could be an interesting player in the 15:00 at Doncaster.

The five-year-old is a former course winner at Doncaster, and could thrive now back at the track after lesser efforts in hot races at Ascot the last two times.

David Nolan is booked to take the ride, and the jockey was aboard when the selection was last in the winners’ enclosure.

15:15 - Curragh - Art Power

A rapid contest is next up from the Curragh, as the Group One Flying Five is due off at 15:15. Art Power has never really got the respect he deserves, but if the forecast is to be believed, he will get his desired soft ground on Sunday.

That will be a big plus to his chances after winning over course and distance on soft ground in July 2023.

Ran creditably on his latest effort when just two lengths behind Bucanero Fuerte, and a bold each-way showing is likely this weekend.

15:35 - Doncaster - Moonjid

The Legend Classified Stakes is due off at 15:35 at Doncaster, and it could be worth siding with the ride of Derby-winning Adam Kirby.

He will be aboard Moonjib for the Michael Appleby yard. The five-year-old produced an excellent effort on his first start for the stable earlier this month when only beaten a head by Sure And Stedfest over a mile and one.

A drop back to a mile should suit, and makes plenty of appeal.

15:50 - Curragh - Saba Desert

Charlie Appleby and William Buick could team up for Irish Group One success in the National Stakes on Sunday.

Saba Desert has followed the same route to this race as 2021 victor Native Trail, winning impressively in the Group Two Superlative Stakes on his latest start.

That already gives him the edge over a direct rival, as Italy finished nearly two lengths behind the selection.

16:10 - Doncaster - Jabaara

Roger Varian has already been among the winners at Doncaster this week, and the team could celebrate Group Three glory on Sunday in the Sceptre Fillies’ Stakes.

Jabaara was slightly below her best when only fifth in Group Three company at Goodwood last time.

However, if she settles better, she is a proven performer over the trip, including in June when landing a Listed race at Musselburgh.

16:25 - Curragh - Amiloc

Connections have been incredibly patient with Amiloc, and they could get their rewards in the Group One Irish St Leger on Sunday.

The progressive three-year-old for Ralph Beckett is unbeaten in three starts under rules, and was incredibly impressive when landing the Group Two King Edward VII Stakes at Ascot in June.

There still looks to be more progression to come, and this step up to a mile and six looks sure to suit.

16:40 - Doncaster - Harvanna

In-form Michael Appleby will have a leading chance in ITV’s final race from Doncaster on Sunday.

Harvanna is a previous course and distance winner, and looks well treated on that form. Seems to be working back up to that level, and the drop back to five furlongs is a clear positive.
