Previous course winner and big-money Amo Racing purchase Ghostwriter could be hard to beat in the Group Two Princess of Wales’s Stakes on Thursday.
The four-year-old was electric on debut at Newmarket in 2023, and has since won the Group Two Royal Lodge Stakes at the track.
Was beaten three lengths by Rebel’s Romance in the Group Two Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot last month, but there was enough to suggest that he could come good over this new trip.
Ghostwriter also has the edge on his most likely rival this week, Palladium, finishing a length clear of last year’s German Derby winner. The Clive Cox runner consistently runs well, and jockey David Egan is striking at 23% over the last two weeks.
