January Transfer Odds - 05/01/20

Latest News

The January transfer window is officially open and clubs have the opportunity to bring in new players and dispose of unwanted ones. We’ve looked at some of the most recent transfer rumours and their odds of happening. If you would like to back any of the transfers, we’ve provided each player with a link which will take you to the relevant slip. Please note that the odds are correct as of 05/01/20.

Christian Eriksen to Inter - 4/6

Since last summer, it seemed inevitable that Christian Eriksen would be leaving Tottenham either in January or summer, with Real Madrid and Manchester United being the rumoured destinations for Eriksen. Inter is the newest club linked with the Danish midfielder, with the Italian side linked with a £20m move for Eriksen this month. There’s also been talk of Inter waiting until Eriksen’s contract expires in June before making a move for him, but it looks like Inter is the likely destination for Eriksen as it stands.

Adrien Rabiot to Arsenal - 10/11

Since his move from PSG, Adrien Rabiot has failed to make any significant impact at Juventus, with the French midfielder making only 12 appearances and having no goals or assists to his name. Before the beginning of the season, Arsenal were linked with Rabiot as his contract with PSG was expiring that summer and the rumours linking Arsenal and Rabiot have emerged once again. It looks like Juventus are more willing to part with Emre Can (who we’ll talk about later) over Rabiot, but according to the bookies, Arsenal are 10/11 favourites to bring in Rabiot this January.

Emre Can to Manchester United - 3/1

Like we previously mentioned, Juventus seem keen on parting ways with German midfielder Emre Can, with Manchester United being the bookies’ favourite destination for him. Since the former Liverpool joined Juventus back in 2018, Can has only made 36 appearances, and has only made 7 appearances this season. At the start of the season, Maurizio Sarri left Can out of the Juventus squad for the Champions League group stage, so it looks clear that Can isn’t a vital player in Sarri’s squad. As a result of their thin squad, Manchester United are linked with Can as their options in midfield are very sparse, with the likes of Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay both currently being injured.

Adama Traore to Barcelona - 12/1

One of the standout Premier League players so far this season it Wolves winger Adama Traore, with the Spanish winger being linked with a move away from Molineux. In his opening 20 Premier League goals for Wolves this season, Traore has scored 4 goals and registered 4 assists, with 3 of the goals coming against Manchester City. Traore’s decent form has sparked rumours of him returning to Barcelona where he spent 10 years of his youth career and 2 years of his senior career.
