Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion turn their attention to EFL Cup action on Wednesday, with both sides looking to bounce back following league defeats at the weekend.

Manchester City's home record has been excellent as the defeat to PSG was the only blemish on a record which stands at six wins from seven home outings this season.

Brighton & Hove Albion were beaten by Liverpool at Anfield the weekend just gone, to end the Seagulls' unbeaten run heading into that fixture. The visitors for this fixture had won five of their seven league games, and they still remain in the top 4 after 8 league games played.

Ahead of this game, we have teamed up with Paddy Power for this 29/1 bet builder for the fixture.

Jaouen Hadjam to be carded

Jaouen Hadjam has limited his appearances to cup competitions this season, so the Algerian left-back could start in this fixture. Hadjam played 74 minutes against Manchester United in the third round, picked up a yellow card, and committed two fouls.

Phil Foden to score or assist

The Stockport-born midfielder was a second-half substitute against Aston Villa, failing to make an impact, but Foden has scored four goals in his last two home appearances in all competitions. Foden has scored 8 goals in 13 appearances against the Seagulls.

Jeremy Doku 2 + Fouls won

Jeremy Doku has averaged 54 minutes per game in the Premier League this season having only completed his first full 90 minutes of the season at the weekend against Aston Villa. This season, Doku has been fouled an average of 2.5 fouls per game.

Rico Lewis 2 + Fouls

Rico Lewis came on for 45 minutes against Aston Villa at the weekend and in that spell, the City academy product committed two fouls away at Villa Park. Lewis also committed a foul in Manchester City's 5-0 win against Norwich in the previous round of this competition.
