            Harrogate Town vs Bromley Prediction

Harrogate Town are in a bad rut of form recently, without a win in nine games and failing to even score in the last three games.

However, despite Harrogate’s poor scoring form, there have been over 2.5 goals in their last three games. Similarly, Bromley’s last three games have also met the over 2.5 goal market, making that a likely outcome for this weekend.

Micheal Cheek was a standout star for Bromley last season scoring 23 goals and averaging 1.1 shots on target a game. This makes him a potential for a goal or at least two shots on target this weekend.

Joshua Passley was in the book the most for Bromley last season, picking up eight yellow cards and averaging 0.9 fouls a game making him a potential for a yellow card or two fouls.

Harrogate Town vs Bromley Preview & Prediction

Harrogate Town take on Bromley in their first game of the League Two season at Wetherby Road on Saturday. Bromley will be looking to make a big splash in their first game in League Two.

            Date: 10/08/2024

            Kick-off time: 15:00

            Location: Wetherby Road

After a positive season last time out, Harrogate Town will be looking to assert their dominance over the new kids on the block in Bromley in their first time in the fourth tier of English football.

Harrogate Town finished last season in 13th after 38 games. In those games, Harrogate picked up 17 wins, 12 draws and 17 losses which left them on 63 points, only seven points from the Play-offs and just one point from a finish in the top half of the table.

This summer Harrogate have been busy in the transfer window in preparation for a potential Play-off push. Winger Ellis Taylor and midfielder Stephen Duke-McKenna have arrived from Sunderland and QPR respectively alongside Zico Asare and Finn O’Boyle.

Bromley finished third in the National League last season. In 46 games, Bromley managed 22 wins, 15 draws and nine losses - the least losses in the league. This left them on 81 points, 17 points from promotion but they were victorious through the Play-off route.

The Lillywhites have also brought in reinforcements for their journey in League Two. Taylor Foran, Sam Long, Marcus Dinanga, Omar Sowunmi, Lewis Leigh, Karmarl Grant and Danny Imray have all made the move to Bromley.

Harrogate Town and Bromley have met four times in their histories, with the first meeting coming back in 2018. A draw is the most common outcome in this fixture happening on three occasions, however, Harrogate have won once in comparison to Bromley’s zero wins.

This fixture does usually promise goals with only one game not having both sides on the scoresheet, the 1 - 0 win for Harrogate. The highest scoring clash between the two came in 2019 in a 3 - 3 draw.
