Outright Tips & Latest Odds for the 2026/27 League Two Season

The 2025/26 League Two season was one of the most exciting to date, with the title, automatic promotion places and the play-off positions all going down to the very final day of the campaign.

With York and Rochdale joining the division for the 2026/27 season after gaining promotion from the National <league and the likes of Exeter, Port Vale, Rotherham and Northampton all dropping down from League One, we're expecting another exciting battle at both ends of the table this season.

We've come up with our tips for League Two this season, so make sure you read on to find out just who we have backed for success.

League Two Outright Winner Tip

Bristol Rovers have established themselves as early favourites for the 2026/27 League Two title, despite only finishing 14th last time out.

The Pirates are one of the bigger clubs in League Two and regularly pull in crowds of over 10,000 at the Memorial Stadium, so that added revenue should allow them to make some good moves in the transfer market this summer.

Manager Steve Evans has a track record for getting teams promoted, and despite Bristol Rovers only finishing in mid-table the season after their relegation to League Two, there is a lot of buzz from the bookmakers and pundits regarding their title chances.

Rovers have already bolstered their squad with several players from the Championship and League One, with more expected to come in before the season kicks off, so when you combine a good summer's recruitment with an experienced manager, you can see why Bristol Rovers are being touted as one of the title challengers this season.

League Two Top 7 Tip

The promotion race in League Two last season was very open, and more of the same is expected in the 2026/27 campaign. We've already mentioned Bristol Rovers as potential title winners, but who else will make up the top 7 places in League Two this season?

Grimsby Town made it to the playoffs last season and have managed to retain the key attacking and creative players that make them so good to watch.

Port Vale and Exeter were both relegated from League One last season, but should still have the strength in their squads and good managers in place to make a big push for promotion at the first attempt.

Salford City just missed out on automatic promotion last season and failed to make the most of their chances in the playoffs; surely they will be right up there again in 2026/27. On a similar note, Chesterfield finished two points behind Salford, scoring 10 more goals, and if they can turn a few more of those draws into wins, they could be in for a great campaign.

Finally, we've picked Barnet as our final team to finish in the top 7 in League Two this season. There is a lot of hype around Dean Brennan's side this season, with many bookmakers believing that the Bees could even make a push for the title. Following an 8th place finish last time out, we're backing the Bees to make the playoff places at the very least in 2026/27.
