Manchester United and England footballer Luke Shaw is just one of hundreds of people to have donated to the GoFundMe Page of Luke Jobson, the Liverpool fan who tragically lost his life last weekend.
The engineer from Thornaby - who was himself a talented footballer - was reported missing by authorities on Sunday after last being seen heading towards Yarm School in the early hours of Saturday morning following an altercation with a group of males in the High Street. Police confirmed on Monday that a body close to Yarm was the 22-year-old.
Since his passing, tributes have been pouring in from friends and family on social media, with a huge crowd gathering in Yarm on Tuesday evening to pay tribute to the man described by hundreds as a 'kind and loving individual'.
Singer Robbie Williams tweeted last night: "Luke Jobson Rest in peace brother x", while his mother - Lisa - said that Luke was 'the perfect son' who 'lived for the present'.

Kind-hearted Teessiders raised over £20,000 in just six hours when Luke's GoFundMe page was set up by Liam Chaney, Michael Charles, Nick Cowan, Matty Myers and Josh Blakey, with Luke Shaw's £15,000 donation bringing the current total to almost £60,000.

The page will be closed at 8pm this evening, if you would like to donate then please follow the link below; any contributions would be hugely appreciated: https://www.gofundme.com/f/luke-jobson

Words can’t explain how gutted I am and how unexpected this has happened, truly trembled by this and purely devastated for his family! Can’t stress enough on how nice and genuine Luke was but one thing I’m taking from all this, is I’m never taking anything for granted. Love u bro
